Great food and fun!! - We had a very fun time cooking authentic Colombian food with Liz. We went to the open air market to buy the ingredients from local vendors-fruit, meat, and rice. Then we had a short walk to her apartment where we prepped and cooked a delicious meal. Liz has lots of options, and we chose empanadas, ceviche, and arroz Atollado, a yummy rice dish with beef, pork and vegetables. Everything was great, and it was a fun afternoon cooking and hanging out. It was like having dinner with a friend. I highly recommend this as a unique travel experience.

Memorable taste of Colombia - We had an absolutely fantastic experience at Liz’s cooking class! From beginning to end, everything was perfect. We started by shopping for fresh ingredients at the local market, which made the whole experience feel incredibly authentic and fun. Cooking in Liz’s own kitchen was such a special touch—she’s so warm and sweet, and her perfect English made everything easy to follow. It truly felt like cooking with a good friend. The timing of the class was spot-on and never felt rushed. Learning to shop for, prepare, and enjoy authentic Colombian dishes was unforgettable. I honestly can’t say enough positive things to describe how wonderful this experience was. I highly recommend this tour to anyone looking for a genuine and memorable taste of Colombia!

Best Cooking Class in Bogota - Liz, has been the best hostess with her warmth, simplicity and her professional way of explaining each of the recipes making cooking class intuitive and practical. The best empanadas in Colombia I have prepared with it and also tasted. The location of the class is ideal close to everything. The visit to the perseverance market has been a plus and see first hand the purchase of raw material for the class. I will certainly return for another class in the future. The price-quality ratio is superior since everything you prepare with Liz you can eat. Finally, the communication of the event has been constant and clear. My heartfelt congratulations to Liz for this wonderful experience at Bogota.

Experience to do in Bogota! - We met Liz at the market, to buy the ingredients for the chosen dishes. She introduced us to the market, made us discover the vegetables and fruits of the region, always with a smile! We then went to cook at her place where she took the time to teach us her cooking style, to talk to us about Bogota, Colombian culture. Always with a smile, against a background of Latin music. The ready meals were delicious. Great experience! Liz is adorable, we laughed, learned, ate well it was great! I highly recommend!

Local experience - If you want to see what’s like to live in Bogota, this is a perfect experience. As soon as I signed up on this experience, Liz contacted me with huge menu. She told me to pick two from appetizers and one from the main dish list. This is a private tour, and you get to pick what to cook and eat. Her constant communications until we met at a market on the morning of the class made me feel assured about this experience. Shopping at a market for vegetables, fruits and meats were so much fun. She made sure we were not overpaying for any ingredients. (Ingredients cost are not included, so bring some cash to pay). Cooking with Liz was fun and educational. I can’t wait to receive recipes from her, and I look forward to recreating Columbian dishes at home

Fun local experience - As soon as I signed up for this tour, the owner/operator Liz contacted me via WhatsApp. She presented a list of dishes we can cook. Since you get to pick, it really caters towards so many different clients. Constant communication from Liz made me feel assured. We met at a market. Shopping ingredients at a market was so much fun. I felt like I live here and got to enjoy “local” experience. Once we walked her place, we cooked three different dishes. She only uses fresh ingredients. I just loved everything we cooked together. I highly recommend if you want “local” experience.

Very interesting to learn to cook typical Colombian dishes. - A magnificent experience. We shopped at the Perseverance market and Liz explained a lot of things about typical Colombian foods. Then we cook three dishes. Very good explanations and very good cook. We talked for a long time about Colombian and Spanish cuisine. Highly recommended.

SCAM! Avoid at all cost. - First, you're expected to buy your own ingredients, which is surprising considering the price (nearly half a million pesos). That would’ve been fine if the experience actually happened. I showed up to the meeting point, texted the operator, and waited, no response, no signs of anyone. I walked the area and waited for over 30 minutes. Still nothing. I eventually left and contacted support, who also couldn’t reach the operator. This wasn’t just poor service it felt like a complete no show. I wasted time, money, and my last day in the country on something that didn’t happen. Spend your money elsewhere. You're better off tossing it in the trash than booking this.

Not a Real Cooking Class - Felt Misled and Overcharged - While Liz was kind and patient, the experience was far from what I expected from a food tour and cooking class. You're required to buy all the ingredients yourself, which not only feels like a quick grocery run rather than a guided tour, it also significantly increases the overall cost. Instead of learning to cook hands-on, you mostly just watch her prepare the food, with minimal participation or instruction. There was no real hosting, no drinks, no snacks, and nothing to make the experience feel welcoming. To make things worse, she didn’t even have containers so we could take the food with us. I had to insist on going out and buying some myself, otherwise the food I paid for would have stayed with her. All in all, this felt more like paying to watch someone else cook in their kitchen than joining a proper food tour or cooking class. I left feeling disappointed and a bit scammed. Definitely not worth the price, and I wouldn’t recommend it to others.
