- Example: Yugoslavian Military Shelter for Submarines - Observing its serene present-day appearance, one would never suspect that the island of Vis was once a military stronghold, with a history of occupation and fortified defenses, and was actually closed to foreign visitors until the war in 1991. It also houses one of Former Yugoslavian President Josip Broz Tito’s three submarine bases, undetectable from the air, yet clearly visible from the road across the bay. Large enough to accommodate submarines up to 110 meters long, this secret submarine base located in Parja Bay near Vis town, was part of an extensive network of military tunnels and caves throughout the island.
- Blue Cave - This tour offers a chance to explore the most stunning and popular beaches and locations, featuring amazing and unique architecture, hidden caves, and opportunities to swim and snorkel in crystal-clear waters with over 50 shades of blue. This tour is designed to exceed all expectations.
Participants will visit the Blue Cave on the island of Biševo, a military submarine tunnel, the quaint fishing village of Komiza, the Green Cave on the island of Ravnik, Stiniva Beach on the island of Vis, Budikovac Island, the Pakleni Islands, and the town of Hvar.
- Komiza - Komiža is located on the island of Vis within the deep Komiža Bay. The Hum mountain range separates it from the rest of the island and descends steeply to the bay’s shore, forming intriguing coastal cliffs. This is a quintessential Mediterranean locale with traditional architecture, narrow streets, and houses surrounding the harbor. Due to its location and limited agricultural land, the residents were primarily seamen and fishermen. The significant fishing history is showcased in the Fishermen’s Museum, unique in Croatia.
- Stiniva Cove - Explore the stunning natural bay of Stiniva on the island of Vis. Protected as a nature reserve, this small, narrow bay, approximately 600 meters long, is flanked by high, inaccessible rocky cliffs on both sides. This site is accessible only by private speedboats.
- Green Cave - The Green Cave is breathtakingly beautiful and spacious, with depths ranging from 3 to 5 meters, allowing boats to enter and providing the opportunity to jump into the sea from inside the cave. Snorkeling equipment is available on board to explore the cave’s sea floor.
- Hvar - Hvar is often described as a “fairytale town” with its architecture, cultural heritage, stunning nature, and mild climate. Over the years, it has become a must-visit destination for the jet set, attracting many famous celebrities. According to “Europe’s Best Destinations,” Hvar was voted one of the most beautiful islands in Europe in 2018!
