A Journey from La Paz to the Heart of Uyuni

The anticipation was palpable as I embarked on a journey from La Paz to the Uyuni Salt Flats, a destination that had long been on my bucket list. As a biologist and environmental activist, the allure of witnessing one of the world’s largest salt reserves was irresistible. The trip began with a seamless transfer from my hotel in La Paz to the International Airport of El Alto. The aerial views of La Paz as we took off were breathtaking, a reminder of the vibrant city nestled amidst the Andes.

Upon landing in Uyuni, I was greeted by Samuel, our driver, and Liliana, our guide, whose warmth and enthusiasm set the tone for the adventure ahead.
