The statue’s nudity sparked controversy, leading to its removal a few years later. It was only in 1989 that the statue was relocated outside the town hall, where it had been stored.

• Palazzo Barozzi - Located in Piazza dei Contrari, opposite the Rocca, is Palazzo Contrari-Boncompagni, commonly known as Palazzo Barozzi, famed for its exquisite spiral staircase designed by architect Jacopo Barozzi. This architectural marvel from the 1500s features a striking, self-supporting spiral with 106 steps. The Barozzi Staircase is admired for both its architectural and artistic beauty.
