Borgarnes - The capital of West Iceland, situated in the City Fjord.

Eiriksstadir - This charming turf-roofed house was once the residence of Eirik the Red and his son Leif the Lucky, who ventured to America long before Columbus was born!

Coastal cliffs - The gateway to the Westfjords. Numerous rocky islands fill a small bay at the edge of Breiðafjörður Fjord.

Vatnsfjörður - Home to the Þingmanná Waterfalls and a breathtaking canyon.

Kleifaheiði - Kleifakarl - We will traverse the towering Kleifaheiði mountain range on our way to the Patreksfjörður area. At the summit, there’s an intriguing sight! The engineers who constructed the mountain road erected a 5-meter-high stone statue called Kleifabúi during their spare time, marking the pinnacle of their work.

Látrabjarg - We will follow gravel paths carved into steep mountainsides until we reach the renowned bird colonies and Bjargtangar Lighthouse at Iceland’s westernmost point. The cliff tops rise more than 440 meters above the surf and are at the westernmost edge of Europe.

Rauðisandur - A 10-kilometer-long beach at Rauðisandur with multicolored sands.

Westfjords Region - The Instagram-famous “A-House” serves as one of the best viewing points.

Önundarfjörður - Another photo opportunity awaits at Önundarfjörður Pier, offering outstanding views surrounded by black sand beaches and dunes.

Seven Fjords, Wildlife Spotting & Viking Longhouse

Bolafjall - We will drive up Bolafjall (628m) where you can enjoy the view and walk on a skywalk platform.

Osvor Maritime Museum - A collection of turf-roofed buildings used in the past by local fishermen.

Óshólar Lighthouse - One of Iceland’s most iconic lighthouses with stunning views.

Westfjords Region - From Ísafjörður, you’ll enjoy unforgettable views as the road winds its way up and down seven breathtaking fjords!

The Arctic Fox Centre - Arctic foxes roam this area, so keep a lookout for Iceland’s only native land mammal! If you don’t spot any, you can still meet them at the Arctic Fox Center and support their conservation.

Hvítanes - Hvítanes is one of the most accessible places to spot seals in the Westfjords, so we’ll take a look at these delightful creatures here.

Grabrok Crater - Heading south, we’ll pause the return journey to Reykjavík (ETA 8-9 pm). Our final stop will be at Grábrók Volcanic Craters, where you can stretch your legs and ascend the stairs to multiple viewing platforms.
