Super helpful for someone with mobility issues - Great experience. Super helpful to get an overview of the area, hear interesting historical info, & hop on/off as we wanted. For someone with mobility issues, it was really the only way to see all of the freedom trail. Minimal wait times & trolley was never so full that we couldn’t get on. Highly recommend!

Good Way to See a Lot - Driver knew a lot of history. Asked riders to be quiet so everyone could hear him. We bought a 2 day pass. We rode the whole way and decided where to hop on and off the next day. Hard to see some buildings since roof got in the way. Not air conditioned. Open windows.

Great tour, but inconvenient design - Last year this was the highlight of our trip! The guides are so interesting and fun still; however, the 2 loops made for a ton of waiting and wasted day. I would still recommend, just know you may wait around a lot if you want to see the whole tour.

Seeing the sights - Just finished a US holiday that took in Washington, New York and Boston. Did the bus tours in all. Boston was the most expensive with less sights to see so not the best value for money. Live commentary was very good. Crafty was excellent and people didn’t want to hop off his trolly as he kept them all entertained.

Two words: Mixed Bag - Okay, so here is where we are at with this: while we thought the overall experience was okay, there was a lot to be desired. On the city tour, there were guys like Gonzo, Chris and Crafty who were not only good, but funny! Particularly Crafty. He was dropdead hilarious!! Gonzo was as well, but there were some issues with some of the other patrons talking on his route. So much that I had to get involved. Again, that’s not his fault and I thought he did a great job! It was also Chris on the seaport route, who I thought did fantastic! First, it is not an easy route to do. There is not much to see and frankly not much to know. Yet he powered through it and frankly he got my vote for doing a job Well done! However, the reason why I am going to give this at 3 out of 5 work for two people: Music and Big Wheel. First, Music took so long to arrive for the Back Bay tour that we had to basically reschedule our other tour right behind this tour. I’m not sure what happened, but it wasn’t cool. Moreover, the driving wasn’t too great. All in all, I just wasn’t to satisfied. However, the worse one of our was Big Wheel. Oh my goodness was this guy not hospitable at all! The whole entire trip he was sarcastic and rude, in my opinion. Granted, there was one time that I thought he did an excellent job shutting down one customer who was being very disruptive during the tour. I think everyone else, including myself appreciate that. Other than that, I would say there left a lot to be desired. Speaking of…. I just would say that the Old Town franchise is a really good one! I’ve ridden their trolleys before in Saint Augustine and we had an absolute blast! This time, unfortunately, it was kind of a different story. Again, it was a complete disaster, but it wasn’t the usual standard of Old Town Trolly Tours.

Concept seemed OK, but crowded buses, could not hear driver - Probably not the right choice for us. We only really visited 3 of the stops, the first one before boarding, one in the middle where we spent a lot of time, and the one at the end of the line. I don't think anyone could visit all stops and spend any time there. The buses were quite crowded, and you could only reboard if there was room. The people waiting to board rushed the bus as a mob and if you weren't quick enough (we were not) you had to wait for the next bus, so we spent a good bit of time waiting. (Suggestion: Have an organized queue at each stop to reboard.) The drivers went through a narrative, but we often could not hear him because of street and passenger noise. We had a one-day ticket, but I believe a one-time purchase should include unlimited time. We were in Boston for four days and would have visited more of the stops if this were the case.
