- Cape Cod - While traveling to the Steamship Authority, enjoy engaging in full, live commentary by your driver/guide. Learning about historic locations such as; Plymouth, Cape Cod Canal, Bourne and local Native Americans reservations.
- Falmouth - Once on Cape Cod, your excursion includes a mini tour of Falmouth. We travel through downtown, view the marvelous cedar shake houses and travel the coast for views of the Vineyard Sound.
- Nobska Point Lighthouse - After a short trip around Falmouth, let’s take a beautiful visit at the Nobska lighthouse. This historic locations offers amazing picture opportunities, an outer house walk-around and cliff views.
- Steamship Authority Ticket Office - We arrive at the Woods Hole Steamship Authority at about 9:00am. That is 30 minutes before your vessel departs the terminal. This allows our guest plenty of time to explore town or stop in a local cafe for a coffee and a breakfast sandwich before boarding the 9:30am ferry to Oak Bluffs. We are the only company in Boston that offers this experience.
- Vineyard Sound - Your ferry ride from Woods Hole to Oak Bluffs is 45 minutes. While on-board you may enjoy inside, A/C seating or walk about the massive passenger deck for outstanding pictures of both Martha’s Vineyard and Cape Cod. Concessions and restrooms are on the ferry for your convenience. As always, round-trip ferry tickets are included.
- Oak Bluffs - Once on Martha’s Vineyard, all guest will have roughly 6 hours to explore at their leisure. You are welcome to rent bikes, take the city bus, order a ride share or take a 3-hour island with our affiliate partners (additional fee).
Those who wish to take the 3-hour tour option will be greeted by the tour directed at the Oak Bluffs harbor
- Steamship Authority Ticket Office - Your ferry leaves Oak Bluffs at 3:45pm. Relax after a bustling excursion of the island on your 45 minute ride back to Woods Hole. You will be greeted by your original tour guide in Woods Hole at 4:30pm.
- Boston - From Woods Hole to Boston is roughly a 2-hour ride. Feel free to offer feedback on your day to one of our expert drivers. We strive to get guest back in the Boston area for about 6:30 pm

As always, round-trip ferry tickets, snacks, water, island maps, discount food cards, and commentary are all included. Island tour option: Unlike other tours, THIS IS NOT A SCHOOL BUS TOUR. Experience a wonderful 3-hour, full island tour in one of our 14-passenger, air-conditioned, high-top vans—the best way to see the island. The tour covers all 6 towns with stops for photos and restrooms. Our guides are the best in the business! Enjoy this intimate experience by asking questions and becoming part of the New England Excursions family.

Our tour guide was very... - Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and helpful. Very convenient since they picked us up at the hotel. Courteous and on time.

Including the optional on... - Including the optional on island tour there is lots of time spent in a minibus. BUT there's almost complete live commentary from the drivers. Timings and guidance ensured a smooth day from hotel pick up, across a ferry & back to the hotel. A long but great day.

The best driver for the trip. Keith was great taking us from Boston to the ferry for the tour. Fun stuff. - The shuttle driver, Keith was great. He shared historical and current trivia. The time spent on Martha’s Bineyarf was interesting. It was way too congested, but the food was phenomenal.

Helped us make the most of our one day excursion to Martha’s Vineyard. - We were picked up from our hotel as expected. The tour organizer (Keith) was proactive in communication with setting up our scheduled pickup. He drove us to the ferry with many added history/informational tidbits along the way. He was very clear where we needed to be and where our tour guide on Martha’s Vineyard would meet us. We found him with no trouble. This add on tour took us to places we probably would not have found on our own. Our tour guides name was Mark and he was five star as well.

Island tour - It’s a three hour tour with limited time to explore. Our guide was very informative and knew a lot about the history of Martha’s Vineyard.

Disappointed! - Our group had a disappointing experience.
1. The ride with our driver, Keith, from the hotel to Woods Hole and back was great.
2. We arrived at Martha’s Vineyard and discovered that the comfortable, air conditioned van we booked and paid for our island tour didn’t exist. We were told the tour was overbooked and now we had to ride in an old school bus with no air conditioning.
3. The sights we saw from the bus consisted mostly of trees and shrubs along the road.
4. We only made ONE stop at Gay Head Cliffs in Aquinnah. We made no other stops.
5. Your ads and “Tour Option Description” on the email I received was misleading.
6. We did not receive the tour experience you advertised and we paid for, so I am requesting a full refund for the cost of the add-on tour for the four adults in our party. We were looking forward to the tour and traveled a long way only to be disappointed.

The tour was not as described. First of all, the tour was NOT on a comfortable, air-conditioned van. Instead, we were on an old school bus. When we inquired about the van, we were told that our tour had been overbooked and we had gotten bumped to another tour with another group. The tour guide was nice, however, most of his stories were morbid and depressing. The tour itself was not at all as expected. We only made one stop and that was at Gay Head Cliffs and Lighthouse in Aquinnah. We made no other stops! Most of what we saw were trees and shrubs on our tour. I would not recommend this tour to anyone visiting Martha’s Vineyard.

Dangerous - This was a terrible experience and I’m going to be blunt here because we are still freaked out a little over the drive home. This guy had 12 people in a van and completely risked all of our lives on the road. Drove like a bat out of hell, weaving in and out, speeding, texting while driving - we saw him confirming appts for tomorrow while speeding, riding other peoples asses, one lady in another car flipping him off. Not ok. And then he stood outside of the car while dropping us all off hoping for a tip. Just terrible. You should really take more care when you hold other peoples lives in your hand.
