Discover the breathtaking Hoover Dam from its base on a 12-mile kayak journey through the Black Canyon, which includes a visit to the beautiful Emerald Cave. This guided excursion provides a peaceful day on the Colorado River, featuring picturesque views, natural hot springs, and waterfalls. Suitable for all skill levels, this adventure promises an unforgettable experience with a professional guide, snacks, water, and roundtrip transportation provided.
- We recommend you bring: hat, sunglasses, sunblock, swimsuit, towel.
- Some kind of water shoes is a must for this adventure (over one mile hiking).
- Depending on the time of the year layered clothing is recommended.
- The booking does not include the National Park permit that is $30 (+$1.80 booking fee) per adult and $15 (+$1 booking fee) for ages 16 or under. The operator will contact you after your booking is made to arrange the permit. Permits are non-refundable therefore you will not be refunded for the permits if you cancel the tour.
- This tour is not recommended for anyone with physical disabilities or with heart, shoulder or back problem
- Maximum weight limit is 300lb/person
- No Alcohol or Smoking Allowed.
- Please consider this, the Hoover Dam adventure is recommended only for physically fit people. We do not recommend this activity to anyone with a heart condition, back problems, shoulder problems or any medical or physical limitation. This tour is pretty physical and requires stamina. This tour is a total of 12 miles of kayaking and 2 miles hiking. (It’s NOT a leisure FLOAT)

Xander was great. Would... - Xander was great. Would definitely recommend if kayaking is your thing. Definitely bring a hat, sun glasses, sunscreen and water shoes that can support walking on rougher terrain.

Great sights and our tour... - Great sights and our tour guide was awesome. There are a lot of short hikes in sand and water to the hot springs so make sure you have good shoes (our guide suggested crocks). The end of the trip is 6 straight miles of kayaking and there is little to no current so be prepared. Overall it was a great trip.

Amazing & Beautiful But Physically Demanding - The tour was amazing. Our guide Xander was fabulous and was extremely knowledgeable. We learned all sorts of things ranging from history of the dam to geology of the canyon to the various types of birds & other animals on/along the river.
I will say this trip is very physically demanding & not for the inexperienced. Twelve miles of paddling can be brutal in the Nevada heat with the sun beating down on you 98% of the time. There is very little shade to be had. Hydration is key & sunblock a must.
The hiking portion was not extensive but the rocks leading to the hot springs can be very slippery & falling is not uncommon.
Overall this trip lived up to expectations & I would definitely do it again.

Incredible Day on the Colorado River! - We had an amazing experience on the Hoover Dam Kayak Tour on the Colorado River with Las Vegas Shuttle! Our guide, Xander, was fantastic. He was super knowledgeable, fun, and really helped make the day memorable. His passion for the river and the surrounding area really added to the experience.
Be prepared as this tour does require a good amount of physical endurance. It's a full day of paddling and exploring, but it's 100% worth it. The views of the Colorado River were absolutely breathtaking, and the stops along the way gave us the chance to take in some truly unique natural beauty. The Hot Springs were a definite highlight, both beautiful and relaxing. This tour gave us a chance to see a different side of the Las Vegas area, and it’s something I’d highly recommend to anyone looking for an adventure beyond the Strip.

Very useful service - I went on a school camping trip, and they made it even better than it already was! They helped us transport our kayaks and canoes and got us down and up the river, so much thanks to them!

Kayaking - Wow! This was the best experience ever. They were so helpful during the drop off and pick up. We had a couple vans breakdown and they were willing to help us late in the night. Kayaking with them was a fantastic time. 10/10
