It was fun - We were welcomed ahead of time and it started right away. An adventurous experience with a very nice guide. The stopover at the nomads for a tea was also very nice.

Visit Monkey Fingers with Idriss - Organized a little last minute this trip as a couple to the Monkey Fingers with Idriss who was very quick to respond and super helpful. I meet at the parking lot and then ride in the slot canyon, we had arranged for him to bring us sandwiches too and we ate them calmly and coolly in the nomad caves. At the end of the trip we accompanied Idriss back to the hotel and she strongly advised us to go to the Todra gorges through the mountain passes... an incredible experience and one of the most beautiful of our trip to Morocco. If you are in the Dadès region I highly recommend to organize something with Idriss, even just a walk and ask for advice from him who knows the area.

A beautiful hike in Dades with Idriss - In October I did a very nice hike in Dades with the local guide Idriss. For the first time we went uphill from where we could enjoy the view of the beautiful area. Then the path led into the valley and along the river into the old and the new village. On the way, Idriss talked about the life of the people in the area, the nature, the animals, the development of the village and the nomads who live up in the mountains and come to the village every other day to the river with their sheep (which we also see, by the way). Since he's from the area, he knows his way around. In the end we were invited to tea in a house in the village. The hike took three hours and was not too strenuous for average fit people. Idriss adapted the pace to us, gave us enough time to look, ask and of course take photos ;). On the way back, we laughed at some jokes he told. It was a very nice, relaxed and informative morning with a very nice and trustworthy guide. The scenery is breathtakingly beautiful!

A beautiful 4-day tour through a particularly beautiful part of Morocco. - A beautiful 4-day tour made from the Dades to Rose Valley , Imilchil and Todra Gorges. A wonderfully beautiful changing landscape. And guide Idriss who alerted me to animals, plants, rock formations along the way. I was so impressed by the apparent emptiness and beauty of this area that I would have missed a lot without Idriss. He saw every bird, every squirrel.... The three hotels were very different, and therefore extra fun. A special tour through a special part of Morocco. Definitely recommended!

Awesome guide!! - Had an amazing time here! Would definitely go there again. Service was top notch, and the food was amazing (best we had in Morocco! Definitely try the specialty of the house ^^). We also did a guided walk with Idriss, which was wonderful, he had loads to show us and was very knowledgeable overall. The setting was incredible, with a gorgeous view of the gorge.

An unforgettable tour through breathtaking scenery. Definitely recommended! - A beautiful tour with a guide who always made me aware of small details. Animals, plants, mountains, which I would not have seen because of the impressive landscape. Every time they stopped to enjoy a little longer and to take a picture. Nice hotels in this seemingly deserted world of the Dadès through the Rose Valley and the Todra Gorges to the starting point. Unforgettable!

A unique stop at Monkey Fingers in the Dadès Valley - Visiting Monkey Fingers near Boumalne du Dadès was one of those simple but memorable experiences. The rock formations really do look like giant fingers carved by nature, and seeing them up close is impressive, especially if you enjoy landscapes and photography. There is no admission fee, which makes it an easy stop if you’re already exploring the Dadès Valley. We spent around 30 to 45 minutes walking around, taking photos, and just enjoying the view. The atmosphere was calm and peaceful, with wide open spaces and fresh air. It wasn’t crowded at all during our visit, which made it even better. You can take your time without feeling rushed. There isn’t much staff around, as it’s more of a natural site than an organized attraction, so it’s good to come prepared with water and comfortable shoes. This place is best for nature lovers, photographers, and travelers who enjoy quiet spots away from busy tourist areas. A small tip: try to visit in the late afternoon when the light hits the rocks—it really brings out their shapes and colors. Overall, Monkey Fingers is a great short stop that adds something special to a Dadès Valley trip.
