Dog friendly bus tour - We had a great time with our dog on the bus tour. We got off at Poole and had a walk around there. Buses are every hour. Recording of facts was interesting. We got to see more things on the tour we’d missed by car. Would highly recommend. Reasonably priced.

Ticket to enjoy - We only had a few days in town so thought it prudent to go for the bus tour. The bus was clean comfortable and the commentary was the perfect balance of information but leaving enough time to enjoy it all. Our driver was very friendly and professional… all in all really good value

Awesome - The tour was wonderful! I liked the commentary on the speakers. My boys enjoyed sitting up top and being able to view everything.

First class bus tour - Would highly recommend this open top bus tour. The sights and commentary were fantastic. Well worth the price as you can get off along the route and get back on the next bus.

Nice tour but needs updating - The experience was nice and we saw a different perspective, taking in the points of interest and the flora. Such a pity the taped commentary needs updating to include details of the fantastic building mural we passed! Who painted it? Also the music on the tape was awful (think 1950's !!!) A tad unnecessary too. We mentioned it to a guide and apparently it has been remarked on for years but never changed! Step up!

very good - We really enjoyed our tour, it was lovely seeing parts of Bournemouth you miss when you are in a car, it was also lovely letting someone else negotiate the nightmare traffic conditions round Bournemouth. It was a good tour, but it needs something on the bus to let you know where you are. The map gives you numbers but there is no way of picking these out when you are on the bus. London buses have digital notice saying what the next stop is, or even something that lets you know the stop number that is coming up would help. Most of the commentary was drowned out by the engine noise. Overall very enjoyable, we would do it again

Fast to Poole Quay and back again! - It was a pleasant trip. The commentary was not very informative, but the music was pleasant. It was meant to be a hop off-hop on bus, but you had to know where you wanted to go in advance and ring the bell, otherwise the bus just wizzed past each stop. It would be very helpful if the commentary announced: “We are now approaching Bus Stop No xx; Alight here for nnnnnn and nnnnn and nnnnnnn.” And the bus pulled in briefly to give you a moment to decide. In the event we went straight to Poole Quay, where the bus stopped for ten minutes. We alighted here and had some refreshments, catching the following bus which wizzed us back to Bournemouth Square, where we alighted. We had bought a 48 hour ticket, but decided to skip the second day.

Journey ok, but difficult to hop on/off - The route covers a good area, and some of the commentary is useful and interesting. The difference in cost between a 24 hour ticket and a 48 hour one makes the longer ticket better value. However, as mentioned in other reviews it's difficult to know where the stops are, with very few being announced in advance, so we ended up doing a single circuit with only a lunch break in Bournemouth where the tour ends. Having used City Sightseeing in many other locations, this didn't live up to the expectations of commentary relevant to the next stop, and an indication of where the stops was (other tours do this, and slow down for the stops). On balance, we'll probably buy a day ticket for the local buses next time and plan our own route.
