- Ironton Ferry - 10:00 AM Begin the journey by boarding the Ironton Ferry. Established in 1876, it is among the oldest ferries in the state. This ferry transports us across the south arm of Lake Charlevoix, taking approximately 5 minutes and saving about 25 minutes of driving time around the entire south arm of the lake.
- Stonehedge Gardens - 10:30 AM Our initial stop will be Stonehenge Gardens, where we will explore the stunning gardens and visit the delightful gift shop.
- Otis Pottery - 11:30 AM Next, we will visit Otis Pottery. Here, we can explore the local pottery artist’s shop and have the chance to view and purchase the handcrafted pieces.
- Charlevoix - 12:00 PM Arrive in downtown Charlevoix just in time for lunch and some shopping. Enjoy a meal at one of the many charming and eclectic restaurants in town, or savor a cocktail on the Rooftop at THE EARL or on the patio at THE VIEW. As time allows, explore some of the lovely shops on Bridge Street.
- Round Lake - 1:30 PM Commence our walking tour starting at the Marina on Round Lake, then proceed to the bridge walk down to Charlevoix Pier. We will then stroll across the beach and walk up to admire the stunning architecture of the Mushroom Houses by Earl Young.
- John Cross Fisheries - 3:00 PM Depart town by car, making a brief stop at John Cross Fisheries for those interested in local northern MI fresh smoked fish, etc.
- Belvedere Avenue - 3:15 PM Drive past the private Belvedere Association, a beautifully preserved community founded in 1878 by Baptists from Kalamazoo as the Charlevoix Resort Association.
- Castle Farms - 3:30 PM Enjoy a drive-by view of Castle Farms, a beautifully maintained property built in 1918 by Albert Loeb, President of Sears Roebuck, as a model dairy farm. The property now serves as an event venue and includes a wine bar, 1918 Cellars.
- The Landing - 4:00 PM Stop at THE LANDING for a refreshment at the Ironton Ferry if the group is interested, before reboarding the Ferry as we return to the meeting point.
