Azzaden Trekking Lodge - Day 1 – Journey from Marrakech to the High Atlas

Depart from the vibrant city of Marrakech and head towards Imlil, the entrance to the High Atlas. Enjoy the picturesque valleys and Berber villages set against the backdrop of towering peaks. Your adventure begins in Imlil! Embark on a trek through the stunning Toubkal National Park, ascending steadily to the Tizi Mzik Pass (2,684 m). At the summit, take a break for a picnic with breathtaking views, surrounded by snow-covered peaks and expansive valleys. After this invigorating pause, the path leads to the magnificent Tamsoult Waterfalls, the tallest in the area at 100 m, where you can relax, capture photos, and breathe in the crisp mountain air. Later, continue to the serene village of Tizi Oussem, where walnut groves and the tranquility of the mountains greet you. A welcoming Berber lodge offers a delicious dinner and warm hospitality. Conclude the day under a starlit sky, nestled in the heart of the Atlas.

Tizi Ousem - Aguersioual - Marrakech

Aguersioual - Day 2 – From Tizi Oussem to Agersioual & Return to Marrakech

After a restful night in Tizi Oussem, start the day with a hearty Berber breakfast before embarking on the day’s trek. Ascend gradually to the Tizi Oudid Pass (2,400 m), surrounded by walnut groves, terraced fields, and stunning views of the High Atlas peaks. From this point, descend through traditional stone villages, where life follows a timeless pace. By midday, reach Agersioual, a peaceful village at the valley’s edge. Here, by the river, enjoy a leisurely picnic in nature, savoring the fresh air, mountain tranquility, and the gentle sound of flowing water. After this well-earned rest, the hike concludes and a vehicle will be ready to transport you back to Marrakech. By late afternoon, return to the city, carrying cherished memories of the waterfalls, mountain paths, and the warm Berber hospitality of the Atlas.
