Peles Castle - Peles Castle served as the summer residence for Romania’s first royal couple, King Carol I and Queen Elisabeth. Renowned as one of Europe’s most stunning castles, its architecture and decorations are truly remarkable. The interior design is particularly captivating, showcasing a unique blend of cultural influences in the furniture, along with the personal touches of the King and Queen. Additionally, it boasted modern amenities for the late 19th century, including electricity, a vacuum cleaner, an electric elevator, and central heating.

Brasov - Known as “Kronstadt” or “the city of the crown” in German, Brasov is a historic medieval citadel first recorded in 1235. It was the most significant commercial hub among the seven German Medieval Cities of Transylvania. Visitors can enjoy a delightful stroll along the narrow, cobblestone streets of the old city center, where they will encounter The Council Square, The Council Tower, and the renowned Black Church, the largest Gothic structure in Eastern Europe.

Sighisoara - In the evening, travel to Sighisoara for dinner and an overnight stay in the medieval citadel.

SIGHISOARA – BRAN – BUCHAREST

Sighisoara - Begin the day by exploring the citadel of Sighisoara, a UNESCO World Heritage site and the only inhabited medieval citadel in Europe. Here, time seems to follow a different rhythm, transporting visitors to an era when knights and fair maidens fell in love before dating, and freedom was the community’s most cherished treasure. Discover the citadel’s history, admire the well-preserved defensive walls and towers, and explore the medieval houses lining the narrow, ancient streets.

The Clock Tower - Constructed in the 14th century and expanded 200 years later, the Clock Tower is the town’s most picturesque landmark, offering a breathtaking view from its summit.

Scara Acoperita-Covered Stairway - This historic wooden and stone staircase, consisting of 175 steps, was used by children to reach the Hill School.

Church on the Hill - The Church on the Hill is one of Sighisoara’s most significant attractions and the third largest church in Transylvania.

Bran Castle (Dracula’s Castle) - Bran Castle gained fame through the Dracula legend. Visitors will learn about the origins of this legend and why Transylvania remains associated with it to this day.

Peles Royal Castle, Bran (Dracula’s) Castle, downtown Brasov, the Black Church, and Sighisoara medieval citadel are the key attractions of the Transylvania tour. If your travel destination is Bucharest and you have a tight schedule to explore Romania, this tour serves as an ideal method to experience some of the captivating locations, primarily in the southern region of the splendid Transylvania.

• There is a 30 Euro single supplement to be paid directly to the guide at the departure if you require a single room
• Peles Castle is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays. On these days, we will see the castle from outside and the gardens.
• Peles Castle will be closed for general cleaning and preventive conservation from Nov 3 to Dec 2, 2025. During this period, visitors will have the opportunity to visit Pelisor Castle instead.
