What makes this area truly special is its diversity; visitors can transition from dense forests to expansive alpine plateaus. Many trails provide sweeping views over Transylvania and Wallachia, particularly around landmarks like the Bucegi Plateau, where the landscape appears almost surreal.
There are two ways to reach the flat Plateau: by cable car or by trekking through valleys and forests to an altitude above 2000 meters.
