- St. Michael’s Tower & Street - This is one of the four original gates from the castle walls, and the only one that remains. It serves as the entrance to the pedestrian zone and historical center, and is a popular spot for street musicians and artists.
- St. Martin’s Cathedral (Dom svateho Martina) - This cathedral was the site of the coronation of kings and queens in the Kingdom of Hungary from 1563 to 1830. It is the largest and one of the oldest churches in Bratislava, and holds great significance. Nearby is a monument to the synagogue that stood beside it for centuries until it was demolished by the Soviet government around 1970 to make way for the new bridge, Nový Most.
- Slovak National Theatre - This historic building, constructed in the 1880s, is the oldest professional theatre in Slovakia and houses three ensembles: opera, ballet, and drama. The building is designed in the neo-Renaissance style.
