Bratislava Old Town - Today, travelers will fly to Bratislava – or Vienna, if preferred – and a complimentary group transfer to the hotel will be provided. Upon arrival, the tour leader will greet guests and provide essential information.
At 5 PM, a guided walk through Bratislava’s charming old town will commence. Visitors should try to spot Bratislava Castle, which is prominently situated on a hill. Keep an eye out for a delightful dining spot, as the evening will be free for dinner exploration.
It is advisable to schedule flights with ample time to reach the hotel before the walking tour. However, if unable to arrive by this time, there is no need to worry – the guide will leave a note at the hotel’s reception, allowing guests to join the group later.
Travel by fast train to the Tatra Mountains.
Poprad - After breakfast, guests will transfer to Bratislava’s train station for a scenic 3.5-hour journey to the Tatra Mountains, Slovakia’s largest and oldest national park.
The base for the week will be Tatranska Lomnica, a popular village in the Tatras, ideal for starting many renowned walking trails.
In the afternoon, an introductory walk around the village will help guests familiarize themselves with their surroundings.
Ride a cable car to Skalnate Pleso, trek to Velka Svistovka, and descend to Zelene Pleso Hut.
Hike through the picturesque Studena Dolina Valley to Zbojnicka, or ‘Robbers’, Hut.
Stary Smokovec - After breakfast, a mountain tram will take guests to Stary ‘old’ Smokovec, the oldest village in the Tatras, followed by a funicular ride to Hrebienok (1285m), the starting point of the walk.
Today’s hike will traverse the Studena Dolina Valley. The valley widens from its narrow beginnings, with terraces and mountain lakes towering above. Enjoy the vibrant flowers, the scent of pine trees, and the melodies of rare birds as the valley is explored.
The hike leads to Zbojnicka, or ‘Robbers’, Hut, where a traditional lunch of soup and dumplings can be savored. Zbojnicka Hut, at an altitude of 1,960m, remains a popular base for trekkers. Its name recalls its history as a hunters’ hut frequented by poachers.
The hike concludes at Hrebienok, where a funicular and tram will return guests to the hotel for a well-deserved dinner.
