An exceptionally good Amazon jungle tour - The tour was extremely well organised. From the taxi to the port, the speed boat across the Negra and Amazon rivers, a combi van to "the end of the road" and a spectacular speed boat ride to the eco lodge everything worked like clockwork. The lodge was in a beautiful setting and a very relaxing place to spend time. While the room was quite basic, it had air-conditioning excellent wifi and there was ample room. The means were excellent. A mixture of local flavours and more standard fare. And then there were the piranhas for dinner, which we were lucky enough to catch that afternoon. The best part was cruising the lake and rivers. While there was always an activity attached to each boat trip just watching the world go by with the tropical breeze in my face will be something I will always remember. I should also add that our guide had an exceptional knowledge of the area and was very accommodating to any of our requests which all added to the enjoyment of the eco lodge stay. We left early on day 4 and again all the connections were well coordinated. We finished up the last day by swimming with the dolphins yet another very memorable experience.

Knowledgeable guide, family run hospitality and overall amazing experience - An authentic and wonderful experience. Helder and his family looked after the four guests, like we were part of their family! His Dad is a wonderful cook and the lodge was clean and very comfortable. Helder showed us his stomping ground with care and knowledge. We camped out one night which was a great experience. Helder caught a caiman! I highly recommend this place!

Wonderful. - My adventure with Joshua’s Amazon Expeditions was one of the most intense, profound and authentic travel experiences I have ever had. It is not simply a hike, but a total immersion in the wildest and most unspoilt nature in the heart of the Amazon, led by people who not only know the jungle, but live and love it every day. ✨ Impeccable organization — From start to finish everything was taken care of in every detail: the navigation on the Rio Negro, and every single activity were handled with professionalism and attention. Feeling welcomed and accompanied in such a remote environment has really made a difference. 🚤 Outstanding local guides — One of the parts I loved most was the relationship with the guides: competent, patient, engaging and curious. They made each excursion a living story, telling stories, showing animal tracks, interpreting forest sounds and explaining local customs and customs. 🏕️ Total immersion in the jungle — Sleeping in lodges overlooking the river, exploring hidden paths, dining under the starry sky and listening to the forest night choir was an experience that touched me deeply. Wilderness takes centre stage, with sudden rain showers, fiery sunsets and encounters with pink dolphins, colourful birds and other river dwellers. 🐟 Local food and authentic culture — Every meal was a surprise, with simple but flavourful dishes prepared with the freshest ingredients. The time to share food with guides and other travelers added a human warmth to an already intense experience. 💧 I recommend Joshua’s Amazon Expeditions to those who love true nature, without filters: it is a journey that teaches respect, humility and wonder. It is not a conventional tourist experience, but it is authentic, educational and deeply felt. If you want to discover the Amazon with curious eyes and an open heart, here you will find exactly what you are looking for. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ An adventure that remains in the heart and awakens a deep bond with nature and with yourself.

Fantastic. - It's not a trip. It's a system reset. With Joshua’s Amazon Expeditions you don’t “visit” the Amazon: you enter it, slowly, with respect, guided by people who are not acting out a tourist script but really live the forest. Every detail is calibrated: • right times (never hectic, never dead), • competent and present guides, • nature absolute protagonist, without filters or folklore. The sunrise on the river, the pink dolphins, the night in the jungle, the real silence — what we Westerners lack — are not “instagrammable” experiences: they are experiences that stick with you. Here you understand something simple and powerful: You're a guest, not a customer. And when you come home, you come back different. For those looking for authentic luxury (time, space, truth) and not just another pre-packaged package, Joshua’s Amazon Expeditions is a benchmark. An experience that is not well told in words — and this, paradoxically, is its greatest value.

Expensive but worth the money! - The communication was good, transport as well. Our local guide(s) were very friendly and did a good job! We met 3 different ones and they all gave the best experience. I also like that it all is with free wild animals and nothing staged, all natural. Good food in the Amazonas as well.

Just what we wanted! - We had a wonderful time at Peacock Paradise. I had agreed in advance that we would have a private guide who would focus on wildlife watching and photography rather than the other activities in the standard programme and this worked very well. The guide, Helder, was excellent at understanding what we wanted and we very much enjoyed his expert boat rides and walks in the forest. We also loved the lodge itself, with beautiful views from the big and comfortable rooms and balconies (with great hammocks) over the river. The food was excellent too, very tasty and abundant. Moreover, the chef was kind enough to take our food requests into account (one vegan and one intolerant to dairy). All in all a marvellous stay and highly recommended.

Unforgettable Amazons - Our stay at Peacoch Ecolodge on the Mamori lake was really unforgettable for many reasons: first, the position, very secluded with perfect view on the lake and river; second, the lodge: we were the only guests and stayed in room #1, a family hut with 4 beds and the best view; third, the people: a whole family took care of us, starting from Helder - our guide, a young skilled guy who perfectly showed us everything possible, always in a relaxed and reliable way - following with his father, a perfect cooker preparing the best food (especially desserts!) every breakfast, lunch and dinner. My boy also managed to play pool with Helder’s little cute kid, Beni, and really enjoyed his time up there. Btw Helder is a pro fisher of Arapaima: if you are into fishing contact him!
