- Leuchtturm - The lakeside harbor where excursion boats depart across Lake Constance, with a slender lighthouse marking the end of the flower-lined pier. From here, the view extends across the water to the German and Swiss shores.
- Kunsthaus Bregenz - A luminous cube of etched glass on the lakeshore, the Kunsthaus Bregenz is Peter Zumthor’s renowned contemporary art museum. Opened in 1997, it is considered one of Europe’s premier exhibition buildings.
- Seekapelle - A small Baroque chapel near the lakeshore, built to commemorate a medieval battlefield victory. It is one of the oldest sacred sites in Bregenz, dedicated to Saint George.
- Martinsturm (Tower Of St. Martin) - The iconic symbol of Bregenz, a medieval tower topped by a large bulbous Baroque onion dome. Claimed to be the largest of its kind in Central Europe, it contains a frescoed chapel and a small tower museum.
- Oberstadt Bregenz - The gateway and remaining walls of Bregenz’s medieval upper town, the Oberstadt. Passing beneath the stone arch leads into the fortified heart of a settlement with roots tracing back to Roman Brigantium.
- Altes Rathaus - Bregenz - A grand yellow half-timbered house from 1662, this is the largest Fachwerk building in Bregenz. Despite its name, it never served as the main town hall but housed the city archives and the town clerk.
