• Independence Square - National Heroes Square, formerly known as Trafalgar Square, is situated in Bridgetown, the capital and main commercial hub of Barbados. The square is located along Upper Broad Street on the northern shore of the Careenage (“Constitution River”), right in the heart of Bridgetown.
• Screw Dock - This historic site is located in the heart of Bridgetown, within the UNESCO World Heritage Site. The screw dock (or dry dock) dates back to the 19th century and is the oldest surviving shiplift in the world. Completed in 1893, it served the essential purpose of raising ships for repairs, cleaning, and maintenance. The dock had a lifting capacity of 1,200 tons and could accommodate large vessels in its 240ft by 46ft enclosure.
• National Heroes Square - National Heroes Square, formerly Trafalgar Square, is located in Bridgetown, the capital and main commercial hub of Barbados. The square is situated along Upper Broad Street on the northern shore of the Careenage (“Constitution River”), right in the heart of Bridgetown.
• The Parliament Buildings - The Parliament Buildings serve as the seat of the Parliament of Barbados. Constructed between 1870 and 1874, these buildings have been the meeting place for both Houses of Parliament since June 16, 1874, and were the former seat of the colonial administration of Barbados.
• The Nidhe Israel Synagogue and Museum - Nidhe Israel Synagogue is the only synagogue in Bridgetown, Barbados. Located along Synagogue Alley and bordered by Magazine Alley, James, Coleridge, and Pinfold Streets, it is part of the synagogue’s historic district.
• St Mary’s Church - St. Mary’s Anglican Church is located at the western end of Lower Broad Street in Bridgetown on the beautiful island of Barbados. This distinctively beautiful church with its large red roof has a truly remarkable history. The old church building is situated next to the Jubilee Garden, the only public green space in the city center.
