Fun experience and beach day - Our scheduled time was at 10:30. We arrived at 10:00. They showed us around and then we had a few minutes to go pick out our beach chairs and then go back to the deck for the tasting. The tasting was short but fun and informational. We all enjoyed it (ages 19-79). There were hardly any other people on the beach all day. We basically had the place to ourselves. Drinks and a limited food menu are available. Highly recommend for a nice quiet day on the beach in Barbados and would definitely visit again.

Exceptional experience! Recommended for one and all. - We were a party of six and the staff was very welcoming and accommodating. We hadn’t been able to eat lunch before we arrived and the Host was able to push our reservation back to allow us to eat before doing our rum tasting. My advice is to get there at least an hour before you tasting time to allow you to eat there. The cheese burgers that we all had were universally declared “best burger ever” (and I have eaten a lot of burgers!).
Asha was our Host for rum tasting and she made the experience both fun and informative. She had the ability to share and teach both the experienced drinker and the neophyte.
After lunch and the rum we got to enjoy Stade’s Beach, right next to the Distillery. Absolutely beautiful sandy beach, with cocktails available nearby.

Rum and the Beach! - Had a great day, rum tasting and lounging on the beach. Don't try to 'fit' this into an already packed day as we saw some others try to do. Get the earliest tasting possible tasting, enjoy it and spend the rest of the day lounging on a very quiet beach sipping rum cocktails. Get the cutter sandwich too.

Fantastic day in Barbados. - Decided to visit the distillery and try the tasting experience and beach visit. Best decision. The staff are brilliant. Interesting and fun tasting of 5 runs, then spent a few hours relaxing on a secluded beach. The beach bar provided rum punches and food. Fully recommend visiting the distillery.

Wonderful experience. The... - Wonderful experience. The tasting and the beach were fantastic. I would definitely recommend to anyone who wants a quick tasting, but still receive all the basic knowledge on how rum is made.

Nice place, good rum, no transport. - The guide was really well informed and the rum was excellent.
However, we had to wait about 30 minutes for guests who reserved but didn’t show up. Then they added two people who walked in and paid $25 less than we did. (On top of a $30 r/t taxi fare - in the booking it looked like Stade would provide transport.)
The delay cut into our beach time so we only barely got into the water before our taxi returned.

Island time, island fun - The tour begins in the gift shop with a video on the history of the distillery. The tasting started a significant time after schedule as we had to wait for the guide and participants from the distillery tour. We were told this is “island time”. We had a complimentary rum punch and relaxed in a covered seating area by the beach while we waited. When it began, it was fun times, and we sampled more than promised. After the tasting, we relaxed on the beach, and made use of the bar. Water is complimentary.
