Why is a koala not a bear? It's not koalafied. :) - What a fun day in Melbourne! Our guide, Richard, was funny, knowledgeable, and made sure everyone on the tour was comfortable and happy. There were only eight of us in the van, so the atmosphere was friendly and lively. The Moonlight Sanctuary organization is doing impressive work rehabilitating animals and allowing the public the opportunity to appreciate many of the truly unique animals Australia has to offer. Petting a kola (her name was Cyclops) was one of the highlights of my trip to this continent; she was adorable. Thank you for a memorable, educational trip through Melbourne!

GREAT DAY WITH PIERO! - We had a marvelous day with tour guide, Piero, who always looked out for our comfort and the interests of those in our group. We enjoyed seeing the colorful bath houses at Brighton, and the koala experience at the Moonlit Sanctuary was the best. We had time to stop at several locations in Melbourne, including a quick stop at the market as we all
requested. This tour was a great sampling of Melbourne and its surroundings.

Excellent choice for a Melbourne excursion. - Adam was extremely knowledgeable about the history of Melbourne, both contemporary and long ago. He was also knowledgeable about the Moonlit Sanctuary and all of the displays there.

Koala - The guide keep talking to the person up front with him. I asked several questions that he did not have an answer for. The drive to Moonlite was very long with not much info on the way. The sanctuary was only 16 acres. The koala experience was great but was $30 more for 3 minutes with animal.

Replace the tour manager - The bus was not labeled, and the tour guide had no signage. Further, she was not approaching anyone to let them know this was the correct tour. Since it was raining, this made for a lot of wet customers. We waited 20 minutes on the bus and half of the passengers did not arrive. Customer service rep at their HQ “disconnected” the phone call when we were escalating an issue. Further, he just would not listen to what we were saying.
They decided to let us proceed without the others. After the first stop was done, they made us wait a half hour for another bus load of people to join us. This second extended delay means we spent a lot less time visiting the destinations we paid for. In fact, we missed a koala talk that happened right at the time we would have arrived originally.
The tour guide spent way too much time going into details about her ultraliberal perspectives on why the government was making all these bad decisions in favor of people who have earned the money to afford living in a beach community. Most of the people on the tour had enough money to spend on this tour so her politics (resulting from poor personal decisions) really did not resonate with the group.
Having said that, she was very knowledgeable about Melbourne and was an otherwise intelligent person.

Left in Melbourne - We were suppose to be picked up outside cruise port in Melbourne. Driver never showed up. We called number provided and they wanted to send an uber and drive us an hour away to join the tour we would have missed the first part and an hour of second part. We love Viator tours and was very disappointed we missed Melbourne

Horrible logistics, not even a sign to identify which bus to get on first thing in the morning - Logistics with this company are awful. Originally I signed up for 9 AM and then a day or so before the tour I was notified 8 AM. Obviously the other passengers on the tour did not have access to email because about half of the people did not show up. After waiting 30 minutes, and even calling to inquire what was going on and being hung up on, the tour guide made the executive decision to go forward. But now, afterseeing the beach boxes, we’re on the side of the road sitting in the bus for a half hour and we are still waiting for the other to catch up with us. This is very frustrating. I suggested we move on to the sanctuary that was told oh no you can’t because the bus driver might have another commitment. While I a paying passenger with limited time in Melbourne, so I’m not appreciative of this.
