Ann van Dyk established this esteemed center in 1971, dedicating her life to the preservation of cheetahs and other endangered species. Situated in the North West Province of South Africa, near Brits and the Hartbeespoort Dam, the center was the first globally to successfully breed cheetahs in captivity on a sustainable basis. Thanks to its successful breeding program, the center was instrumental in removing the cheetah from South Africa’s endangered species list in 1986. Since its founding, over 600 cheetah cubs have been born there.
8:00 am (2 hours): Cheetah run & 2-hour guided morning tour. Available on Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday.
1:30 pm (1.5 hours): Afternoon guided tour. Guests will have the opportunity to see vultures, caracals, wild dogs, and the king cheetah. Available on Sunday at 1:30 pm.
