Visit to the Cheetah Centre - The animals were amazing, from the cheetahs and the cheetah run, to the king cheetah, the wild dogs and spotted hyena. Banele was punctual, knowledgeable and very professional.

Very much worth the time while in the Joburg area! - This was a full 6 hour excursion, even though it was technically only a half day. The drive to the cheetah center is 1 to 1.5 hours, depending on traffic. We had some very nice employees show us through the animal pens and provide very interesting details on each animal viewed. The cheetahs are the stars of the show and we got to observe George interact with them and feed them. Equally intriguing, though, was the visit to the African Wild dog enclosure. Fascinating! If you don't have your own rental car, this excursion is perfect to visit this very interesting site.

Thank you Stephenson Adventures - We booked a tour to the Ann Van Dyk Cheetah Centre through Stephenson Adventures. I was concerned because they were cheaper than all of the other companies. By a lot! But the whole experience was first class all the way. Our driver Ali was amazing and so informative. The Cheetah Centre was fantastic! A must do activity when in Johannesburg.

Cheetah's at their best - What an amazing place this is. This is a centre for breeding captive cheetahs on a sustainable basis The centre’s goal is to keep a viable genetic pool of cheetahs and African wild dogs for release back into their natural habitat. We saw beautiful cheetahs up close including the very regal King cheetahs. We also went on a "safari " around the property seeing lots more animals including the wild dogs and lions. We were able to see these animals being fed which was an eye opening experience. A very worthwhile tour.

Held cheetahs avoid extinction - The main mission of the Foundation is helping to improve chance for both cheetahs and African wild dogs to avoid extinction. The tour is very educational but not “glitzy”. The tour was an excellent value for the cost.

An Amazing Cheetah Experience - We wanted to visit the Ann van Dyk Cheetah Centre because I know how elusive Cheetahs can be on a typical safari. This was the perfect opportunity to have a guaranteed sighting of these beautiful cats in their natural surroundings. Fortunately, we also got to enjoy an exciting cheetah run while we were there. Banele, our guide with Stephenson Adventures was friendly, on time, and extremely knowledgeable. It was obvious from the beginning of our tour that his primary goal was to make sure that we had a great experience. So far, I’ve taken two tours with Stephenson Adventures and I highly recommend the company to anybody visiting the Johannesburg area.

Stephenson's Excellent, Centre worth a visit - Our driver from Stephenson's Adventures was excellent (Banele), he gave us lots of good information on the drive to the centre. The car was quite new and immaculately clean. On arrival at the Cheetah Centre he escorted us to the Museum down the back to read the information there as we had time before the tour started. The tour itself was good, and we viewed lots of animals with information supplied about the animals, but I had expected more information would be provided about the origins of the animals, the breeding program and how they are returned to the bush. Most of the information on this was in the Museum, but I don't believe the other people on the tour even got time in the Museum, so we were very thankful that Banele took us there. Even so, if you have time it's an interesting place to visit and I highly recommend Stephenson's tours to take you.
