The highlight of our entire trip! - I cannot recommend this experience enough. This has been the highlight of our entire trip! Barbara and Chris are so incredibly kind and passionate about their home, and it truly shows with how they guide you through this experience. We really enjoyed learning about the production of pistachios and what makes Bronte unique before getting to indulge in some of the most delicious food we’ve ever had. Each course was better than the next! And lunch is served with a gorgeous backdrop of the farm, as well as the valleys and mountains surrounding Etna. A huge bonus is that Barbara takes photos and videos along the way so that you can really enjoy and live in the moment while still having the photos to look back on. Our only regret is not booking the other tours Chris and Barbara offer, too, as by the end they felt like friends! If (and when!) we come back to Sicily, we will absolutely plan to spend more time with them.

Family day at the pistachio farm - I reached out to Christopher looking for tour information and he was great about communicating which tour would work best for our family. The youngest in our group of 9 people is 6 months old and he suggested the pistachio farm tour with lunch. We met in Randazzo and had a granita tasting, our first and so delicious! The kids and adults alike were very happy. The pistachio farm was impressive, we all walked away with new knowledge. The pistachio farmer made an incredible spread of delicious food. I mean so much food-it was amazing. It was nice to taste all of the Bronte pistachio products in so many different ways in addition to other local products and a delicious pasta course. The kids were happy to be outside and they were prepared a separate pasta that they loved. Christopher and Barbara were so warm and gracious with the whole family. Thank you both, we had a great time.

Best day in Sicily … don’t miss this opportunity!! - My wife and I along with our two adult sons took a tour with Chris and Barbara. They put together a custom tour for us traveling around Mt. Etna to the small towns and included a granita tasting of the absolute best granita in all of Sicily (we tried them all), a stop at a small farm to taste Ricotta and Provolone, and then a tour of a pistachio farm which included the best meal we had during our entire stay in Sicily. Chris and Barbara’s friend Salvo prepared a family style meal (3 courses and loads of food) on his porch overlooking the pistachio grove. My wife said it reminded her of her grandmothers preparing family feasts. This was truly special and I would recommend that everyone connect with Chris and Barbara. We had an awesome vacation in Sicily, but we’ll be recounting this day for years to come!!!!

A MUST DO!! An Unforgettable Bronte Pistachio Experience! - Visiting the Bronte pistachio farms was the absolute highlight of our Sicily trip! As a foodie who's always appreciated pistachios, I had no idea how transformative experiencing them at their source would be. Our guides were incredibly knowledgeable, passionate, and spoke perfect English. They took us through the entire journey of the "green gold" of Sicily - from the volcanic soil of Mount Etna's slopes to the meticulous harvesting process that only happens every other year. Learning about the generations of families who have cultivated these special DOP-protected pistachios was fascinating. The tour itself was perfectly paced. We walked through the groves, touched the trees, and learned to spot the differences between Bronte pistachios and other varieties. The views of the countryside were breathtaking, with Mount Etna looming majestically in the background. But the tastings... oh my goodness, the tastings! We sampled everything from fresh pistachios to pistachio pesto, creams, pastries, and the most incredible pistachio gelato I've ever tasted. The rich, vibrant flavor is nothing like the pistachios back home - these are intensely aromatic with notes I can only describe as floral and resinous. What made this tour special was the intimate connection to local culture. We met an actual farmer who shared stories. Our guides translated everything perfectly and added a cultural context that made us feel truly immersed in Sicilian heritage. The value for money was exceptional. We left with not only full stomachs and bags of pistachio products to take home, but also with a genuine appreciation for the craft, tradition, and dedication that goes into producing this Sicilian treasure. If you're visiting Sicily, do NOT miss this tour. It's much more than just food tourism - it's a cultural journey that engages all your senses and leaves you with memories (and flavors) that will last a lifetime.
