A flavorful way to explore Williamsburg – highly recommended! - I had such a great time on the Williamsburg Bites Tour with Like A Local Tours! This experience is more than just a food tour — it's a deep dive into one of Brooklyn’s most vibrant neighborhoods through its diverse culinary scene and local stories. Our guide Lara was incredibly knowledgeable and friendly, blending food tastings with fun history and cultural insights that made the whole experience feel authentic and engaging. I especially appreciated the focus on local, small businesses, every stop had a meaningful story behind it. A standout moment was visiting Reforesters Laboratory, one of the new stops. It’s such a unique space — combining food, music, breathwork, building community. It's not something you’d normally see on a food tour, and that made it even more special. I also loved the range of tastings — from classic new york food tastes, savory bites to sweet delicateses from all around the world, everything was delicious. This tour is perfect for travelers who want to go beyond the touristy spots and really connect with a place and its people. Come hungry (enough for lunch) and curious — you’ll leave full and inspired!

Williamsburg Bites: A Brooklyn Foodie Adventure w/Lara 👏🏻 - Chatty and well-informed tour guide Lara took us on an outstanding journey around some of Brooklyn’s best independent eateries. My picture shows you the delectable selection of samples we had along the way, and Lara explained each dish as well as the stories behind the businesses providing them. By the end, we were full of knowledge- and food! When I’m next in NY, I wouldn’t hesitate to book another Like a Local tour.

A Definite To Do in Williamsburg - So much fun! Loved the history behind Williamsburg ... being from out of town, this was informative and fun. Great food as well. Our guide was super knowledgeable and kept the event moving and interesting. The first stop was for a bagel, and it was one of the best I've had. Best Pizza was the BEST. Loved going to the Polish market ... the perogies were delicious; And being a Texan, I am super picky about my BBQ. Mabel's Smokehouse was the real deal. When you don't need to add sauce to BBQ, you know it's good!!!

Truly like a local! - Awesome tour covering a variety of foods and history of the area! Lara was an amazing tour guide and has 17 years of experience living in New York. As someone who currently lives in New York, I came on this tour to learn more about the surrounding neighborhoods, and I was not disappointed - this tour was truly built like a local! Our group was small - included four attendees, with two of the other attendees also local to New York, who had attended other Like a Local Tours. We stopped by six different food spots and Lara showed us new hidden gem food spots, told us about historical context of different buildings, and pointed out many murals dotting Williamsburg's streets. 10/10 would recommend going on this tour and trying out other Like a Local Tours!

Good Brooklyn overview with ok food - We enjoyed seeing a bit of Brooklyn especially Domino Park. Being from San Francisco area the food was not that interesting- pizza, pirogi & Reforestation Laboratory were our favorites. The guide was knowledgeable and shared historical information.
