Nice surprise. - We were positively surprised at all the quality information given on this subject throughout the visit. The texts are engaging and we came away with the satisfaction of having learned quite a bit about a subject which, at first glance, might be off-putting. Thank you for the welcome!!

Uniquely Historic Experience - This was a very enjoyable experience! We chose the VR, Historium & Tower ticket. VR experience was excellent but only 8 minutes long. Gives you a good insight into life in Bruges during that time period. Nice little tour with a unique experience as you are provided with headphones and digitally taken on an adventure with Jacob through old Bruges via 7 rooms with it's own unique story. At the end of this tour you pass through the beer café where you can stop and take a break experiencing some beautiful views over the market square while enjoying a drink on the balcony. Afterwards, if the Tower is included on your tour this is your last stop, climbing some stairs to reach the top of the tower for some elevated views of the market square. The top of the tower is very narrows, only allowing for one way traffic and a very short stay. However, on the way down you can stop for another view over the square on a wider balcony in a much more relaxed environment. All in all, I would recommend a visit here.

Very interesting - Very interesting and well realized. Very good organization, minimal expectation. Allows you to take a break in the shelter in case of rain.

Nice but a little expensive - We took the family summer offer, which remains expensive but cheaper than the official rate. The VR part is very short (too short) but nice. The rest of the museum is interesting and immersive even if the love story between the two characters is a bit far-fetched. In any case, everything is well organized because visitors progress at a fixed pace and in very small groups. Nice view of the square from the terrace.

Nice for kids - not for adults - If you're traveling with kids aged 6-12, this might be fun. For anyone older than that, it feels canned and flimsy. It's essentially a short video of the story of young boy in 16th century Bruge, strung out over seven different rooms. There are a few exhibits at the end. You'll learn far more about Bruge by taking one of their excellent walking tour - and it will be cheaper as well.

Never again - The VR experience was fun. It was the first time for us wearing VR glasses. The walking route (with headphones) was not interesting. We thought it was boring. The view was fantastic. For us, the Historium was a setback.

Overpriced, Tourist Trap. Avoid! - Overpriced, low-budget experience with little historical relevance to Bruges. The VR Virtual Reality film feels two decades old. The story of Jacob is uninteresting and focuses on a lost bird as you meander through 8 rooms with plastic decorations. I would love to see the IQ test results from anyone who rated this 5 stars. Seems to be targeted at people who don't get outside much. They upsell you on the tower climb which only accommodates 6 people at a time, leading to long wait times. Staff is hapless, and the supervisor was condescending. They got our 62 euros though, so I guess they win.
