Bruges and Ghent Day Tour with Buendia - Our guide, Juliana was so knowledgeable and her presentation of the history of the two cities was fascinating. She was easy to hear and understand, and she gave extra information to anyone who asked, including good places to eat and how to find your way around. I was worn out at the end of the day - there wasn't time to add another thing, though I would have liked having more time to explore on our own. It was a good value for the money.

Information packed - The walking tour provided a physical layout of the towns along with plenty of historic information for context. With Pablo as our guide, this part of the tour was remarkably interactive as he engaged tour-goers in his narrative. All this enabled us to have some understanding of the people, in addition to the architecture. This was balanced with a generous amount of free time. Not enough time for a relaxed restaurant dinner, but enough to take photos, pop into a few shops, roam about and make it back to the meeting point with time to spare.

Bruges and Ghent Complement Each Other - Both Bruges and Ghent were a great combination. Bruges is quaint while Ghent is a larger city. Both full of medieval elements.

Ghent's St Baaf is wonderful, Bruges has adorable charm - The time is mostly spent in Bruges. It is an interesting place and you are in the heart of the old city. There are plenty of shops and places to eat. My husband does not walk well and the cobblestone streets, though lovely to behold, are a challenge to walk upon if you have mobility issues. I loved Ghent. We only visited St. Baaf's cathedral as I wanted to enjoy the new Mystic Lamb virtual reality exhibit and spend some time really appreciating the large antique altar piece by VanDyke. If you appreciate art from the early renaissance, you will absolutely love the exhibit and altar piece. This was one of the primary reasons for my trip to Europe this time! I was very much pleased with the staff at the cathedral. Everyone we talked to wanted to share the knowledge they had of the artworks in the place. Truly, to an art geek, it was a great visit. My husband, not such an art geek, appreciated learning about VanDyke and Ghent during his life as he walked through the virtual exhibit. We did not see the rest of Ghent as there was not enough time to see what we did and still walk through the rest of the old city. The motorcoach company was wonderful! Please, note: you meet at the Central Station location in Brussels, then walk about a half mile to the where the busses must park. That walk was difficult for my husband and set him in a bad mood from the getgo. He blames himself and wants to let people know that you should definitely visit Europe while you are able to move with no difficulties. We are glad this is our 8th trip and the first 7 were quite easy for him. Hopefully, following hip surgery he can go with me on a 9th trip in a few years

Beautiful cities to visit - We had enough time to visit both beautiful towns. Wish the tour guide will not ramble on and on about every historical landmark. I think giving a quick introduction to all the important landmarks r enough . We r not here for history lesson . We r here to enjoy the beauty of those 2 places.

A very large group. ... - A very large group. Guide was good and used a microphone. Bruges was mobbed but beautiful. Ghent was less crowded with lots of medieval buildings. Be prepared for miles of walking at a very high pace, especially in Ghent. The 20 minute walk to and from the parking in Ghent felt like a forced march. Having to find your way back to parking in Bruges was tricky. They should provide a map.
