Great chance to see the city with a brief walking tour and time on your own. A nice blend of orientation and freedom. - Great tour from a company that has consistently delivered each time we are in Brussels. Easy location and no problems.

A very enjoyable day - I had a great time. The bus was not too packed, the walking tour was fun (Diego was a great tour guide) and there was enough time to try different things. I went on a canal tour and also went to see some artwork. Overall a good time.

Unexpected changes - The itinerary was not as posted so instead of doing the Atomium first it was last. Due to this we could not attend this attraction. It says the your ends at 17:30 but we were told it would be 19:30. That is a big difference when you are with kids and have to take a train to your lodgings. Our tour guide Sabrina was pleasant and did a great job with the tour. We loved Ghent!

Pickup location was easy... - Pickup location was easy to find. We had a bus of mixed English and Spanish speakers. The English guide was difficult to hear and understand. We joined with other English speakers in Ghent for the walking tour. St Bravos was closed due to mass on Sunday morning. The viewing of the Ghent Altarpiece is not included in the tour but we easily purchased tickets and a time slot online when we got there. Viewing the altarpiece was amazing and should not be missed. The time of departure to Brussels was clearly stated and the meeting point was easy to find.

Poor customer service - It was the worst tour experience in my life. Buendía Tours. So rude I told them and explained them that due to the weather and rain our taxi was running late. The make us go all the way to the bus stop after I spoke several times. The tour was gone. No empathy no patience terrible experience and we believe that Viator should reimburse us. Not recommend at all.

Poor Planning & Execution - Viator knew before the tour that we were bringing our luggage as we were not coming back on the bus that came from Brussells. We took a taxi to the meeting point because of our luggage. I was astonished to learn that we then had to walk 5 blocks to the bus with our luggage. We should have been told to meet where the bus parked. When arriving in Ghent I was even more disappointed to find that all the charming squares were off limits due to the upcoming festival set-ups plus the town was abnormally crowded. Had we been told of the festival, as we should have been, we would not have booked. We also learned from the guide, who had arrived a year ago from Spain & spoke broken English, that the tour ended at 1230., when Viator stated it was 9 hours. I then had to move up our car service for which we were charged $84 extra. To make matters more worse, the guide emphatically endorsed a restaurant. When arriving at it, it was closed! We believe that we should be refunded for this tour from hell.
