Day 1: Bucharest - Bucegi Mountains - Poiana Marului

Bucharest - Guests will be picked up from the airport or their location in Bucharest and driven approximately 3 hours north towards Predeal. The journey begins off the beaten path to Diham Cottage, passing through the stunning landscapes of the Bucegi Mountains. Discover the spectacular peaks of “Coltii Morarului”, also known as the Teeth of Dracula, and enjoy a cup of coffee amidst the impressive mountain views. Afterwards, the drive continues towards Rasnov, and the 4x4 tour proceeds to Poiana Marului village. After lunch, explore the Poiana Marului area off-road, taking in breathtaking views of the Bucegi and Piatra Craiului Mountains. Away from the world’s noise, experience the tranquility and calmness of the surroundings. The village scenery is enchanting, offering a fairy tale-like atmosphere. In the evening, arrive at cozy accommodations at an altitude of 1100m. The day concludes with a delicious Romanian dinner and a tasting of traditional local drinks.

Day 2: Poiana Marului – Traditional Villages – Fundatica – Poiana Marului

Poiana Marului - In the morning, depart from Poiana Marului, driving about 15 minutes to Zarnesti. Optionally, enjoy a short walk through the Canyon of Zarnesti, breathing in the fresh mountain air in the setting of the “Cold Mountain” movie. Then, relax on a 4x4 tour through the rolling hills of Magura and Pestera traditional villages. Let your eyes feast on the captivating scenery of the Piatra Craiului and Bucegi Mountains. Here, discover the authentic rural life in Romania, a land of rolling hills, remote village roads, and traditional wooden houses.

Bran Castle (Dracula’s Castle) - Next, there is an option to visit Bran (Dracula’s) Castle or Simon Hermitage. The 4x4 tour continues through the magical landscapes of the Bran Pass, reaching Romania’s highest traditional village, Fundatica, at an altitude of 1360 m. From the hilltop, the 4x4 tour proceeds through Key Valley Canyon, where there is an opportunity to enjoy a zip line crossing a spectacular landscape. After enjoying a cup of coffee by the river and the sounds of nature, return to the accommodation in Poiana Marului.

Day 3: Poiana Marului - Tabla Butii Ridge – Bucharest

Poiana Marului - Today, the journey begins towards Vama Buzaului, arriving at Urlatoarele waterfall. Here, take a break and walk up the hill to the water curtain. Vama Buzaului was established after the Austro-Hungarian Empire was formed and Transylvania was assimilated by the empire. The customs were moved from the Tartar Ridge to the current village base.

Bucharest - From there, guests will be taken to the stunning landscape of the Tabla Butii (“The Plateau of Barrels”) route for an incredible off-road experience. Discover the road used centuries ago to cross from Transylvania to Wallachia, one of the mountain passes used by migrating Tatars and Cumans into Transylvania and Europe. Admire the Tartar ridge just crossed to enter Wallachia. The 4x4 tour continues with a visit to an authentic sheepfold, where a picnic lunch with organic cheese is enjoyed. Continue driving through the ruins of the Hungarian border fortress Cruceberg, built in medieval times by Teutonic Knights. Descend the mountains, arrive in Slon village, and return to Bucharest. Transfer to the airport or hotel.
