Agapia Monastery - The Agapia Monastery (Romanian: Mănăstirea Agapia) is a Romanian Orthodox nunnery situated 9 km west of Târgu Neamț, within the commune of Agapia, Neamţ County. Constructed between 1641 and 1643 by Romanian hetman Gavriil Coci, brother of Vasile Lupu, the church has undergone several restorations and modifications over the centuries. It was adorned with paintings by Nicolae Grigorescu from 1858 to 1861. As one of the largest nunneries in Romania, it houses 300–400 nuns, ranking second in population after Văratec Monastery.

Built in 1532 by Petru Rareș, the illegitimate son of Stephen III of Moldavia, it was established as a defensive barrier against the Muslim Ottoman invaders from the East.
Manastirea Voronet - The Voroneț Monastery is a medieval monastery in the Romanian village of Voroneț, now part of the town Gura Humorului. It is one of the renowned painted monasteries in southern Bukovina, Suceava County. Constructed by Stephen the Great in 1488 over a span of 3 months and 3 weeks to celebrate the victory at the Battle of Vaslui, the frescoes at Voroneț are famous for their vibrant shade of blue, known in Romania as “Voroneț blue.”
