Excellent insight into Romanian Communism - Our guide was very good and interesting explaining the chronology of how Romania became communist and the consequences for the people. We saw the important landmarks and went to the Communist museum. We had both an explanation of the museum and enough time to explore the small museum on our own. The tour gave more insight into what occurred in Romania then just going to the museum on your own and the length was just right.

A walk through Communist Bucharest with Ali. - A walk through communist Bucharest with Alexandria (Ali) was extremely informative and enjoyable. It proved a memorable excursion with Ali balancing a traumatic period of Romania’s history using her encyclopaedic knowledge of events post World War II and combing it with humour and sensitivity. This tour is highly recommended as it leaves the tourists with a richer understanding of how far Bucharest has travelled on its journey to transform itself into a modern day democratic society amidst on-going challenges. We wish them well.

Enjoyable tour with fun surprises. - I was hoping for another kind of tour. More communist architecture. It was generally correct. The Maria guide has made the experience enjoyable. He has shared curious anecdotes and made games for us all to participate in the experience.
