An easy way to get a tour of the Parliament - My wife and I did a tour of the Parliament building in late March. What this company does is nor a tour, but a coordinated service to get you in to have a tour of the building and also gets you the tickets too. Can you do it yourself? Sure but it’s complicated and you might not get in.
Some points to remember. 1) You start the tour at the company’s headquarters/office, which is near the Parliament but not at the Parliament. 2) You need your passport and no fluids allowed in the building. 3) You will go through a metal detector. 4) If you sign up for a tour, you need to be at the company’s office 1/2 hour before the tour. So if you have a 3pm tour, be there at 2:30.
It’s a good tour of an interesting building.

You should know: you are... - You should know: you are paying extra for the convenience of having this company get tickets for you, which are much more difficult to purchase directly. The tour is directly with the palace and is well worth a visit.
Our guide was quite sharp/impatient with some of the other guests trying to maintain a brisk walk from the meeting point to the palace which is worth keeping in mind if you are slower on your feet - though, there are plenty of stairs in the building itself anyway.

Enjoyed the tour, but... - Enjoyed the tour, but confused as to why the meeting point is a walk from the parliament and the person who took us from the meeting point to the parliament did not then guide us around the parliament. Tour was good and interesting, but the tour guide did share some of their personal/political views which was surprising and also took a long time. Not clear on whether we actually saw the Parliament chamber (I don't think we did) and that would have been good to see. When I've visited other Parliaments, even if it is sitting, we have been given the opportunity to sit and watch the proceedings - even if we can't understand the language. When the tour ended, the group sort of stood and looked at each other as we weren't sure if the person who brought us to the parliament for the meeting point was meeting us again to take us back to the meeting point. Some of us had left belongings at the meeting point, which as I say was a walk away. Would have been better if we left some of our things in the Parliament (e.g. bottled water) so we didn't have to walk back. Also not sure if we walked up to the parliament ourselves and asked for a tour if we would have to pay so much - really unclear.

Underwhelming tour, nothing interesting of the Parliament itself. - Transylvanian Wonders provided a good service. Easy check in and guided us right to Parliament and through security so we got where we needed to go. Their service was 10/10.
However the tour itself is underwhelming. I didn't realise just how little you see of the building. Nothing remotely political. No entry to see the Deputies or Senators Chamber. Just a couple of hallways and a couple of reception rooms. Although the Palace is vast and the tour guide is excellent, you just aren't allowed to see anything interesting.

So disappointing! - If you were expecting to see the wonderful artwork, local, regional dress, yes they are on display, but, that's not what this tour is!
There are wonderful busts of former head's of state, they have them, but, they too are not part of the tour. What the tour is, is a showcase of what Ceausescu planned for his parliament house.
All they talk about is how the drapes are made in Romania, how the carpets were made in Romania, etc, the glass in the chandeliers, the chandeliers, which are art Deco and beautiful, all made in Romania.
Then you walk around the first floor only, down one corridor and then another until you are at the exit.
No time and no discussion of the artifacts. All she did was shepherd us through the floor. So disappointing!
If you've ever been to the Capitol building in Washington DC, they show you a short movie first, explaining the who, how, when etc. then they take you around the building. Telling you stories of just about everything. And it's free!
Go online and look at pictures, it will be more enjoyable.

Disappointing. - Not a great experience. Large group of 40 and extremely noisy as many functions are going on within the tour in parts of the building . It is rented out for various functions . Hard to hear as no microphone on your guide .
