The journey begins in Bucharest at 7:45 a.m., with a coffee and snack break around 10:00 a.m., before heading to Poenari Fortress, a former strategic bastion of Vlad the Impaler, the inspiration for Dracula. The fortress is perched atop a mountain and is not accessible inside, so it will be viewed from the outside.
Next, visit Vidraru Dam, a remarkable feat of Romanian engineering. Constructed in the 1960s, this impressive structure holds back the shimmering waters of Lake Vidraru.
The tour continues into the heart of the Făgăraș Mountains National Park.
A stop at the Capra Waterfall allows for appreciation of nature’s beauty and the breathtaking landscapes.
Finally, arrive at Bâlea Lake, situated at an altitude of over 2000 meters, where you can admire the renowned Top Gear Road, enjoy lunch, and relish the mountain scenery.
On the return journey to Bucharest, there will be another stop for coffee and snacks.

- This tour require a minimum of 2 passangers
- We will NOT visit the interior of Poenari Fortress, we will only see it from below - outside. To enter in Poenari Fortress you have to climb 66 floors on the stairs!
- You will meet our guide at 7:45 a.m. We suggest you come 5 minutes early. Being a group tour, we can not wait for you after the mentioned time.
- Please do not bring any food into the vehicle! We’ll see wild bears up close. If the car smells like food, we become a target for bears
