More than just a tour - We did the tour with Sylvia and it was fantastic. She was super knowledgeable, set the scene perfectly, and made it really easy to stay connected to everything she was showing us. We even got a few great surprises along the way. Highly recommend this tour—and if you get Sylvia as your guide, that’s an extra bonus. Thanks for such an enjoyable and informative experience, we learned a lot and really appreciated it!

Don’t miss this tour! - An absolutely fantastic walking tour during which we learned a great deal about the history of communism, and the re-emergence from communism, in Romania. Our guide, Andreea, was not only knowledgeable and well- spoken, but she clearly has a passion for the subject. She imparted knowledge while also imbuing her audience with her enthusiasm for learning about this particular time period in Romania. Highly recommend this tour, which met at the front entrance to the Patriarchal Cathedral itself, which is contained in a large estate at the end of an uphill walk along a road on the grounds of the estate.

Walk through a dark history - This was an interesting and very well informed walking tour through the experience of Bucharest citizens through the communist era. Despite having visited the city before we learned much and enjoyed the guide, Mihai’s style.

Understanding Communism in Bucharest - This was a wonderful experience and Andrea was very knowledgable of the history of Bucharest, the buildings, and the effect that communism had on the population of Bucharest. We felt we knew a lot more of the history of Bucharest and the struggles they experienced than we did before we did this tour.
