The journey begins at Curtea de Argeș Monastery, a significant and iconic site of religious and historical importance. It is also the resting place of the Romanian royal family.
Next, we visit Poenari Fortress, which once served as a strategic bastion for Vlad the Impaler, the historical figure who inspired the Dracula legend. We will admire its exterior and delve into its intriguing history.
Following this, we explore the impressive Vidraru Dam, an engineering marvel from the 1960s that contains the shimmering waters of Lake Vidraru.
We then venture into the Făgăraș Mountains National Park, where the beauty of nature is truly breathtaking.
The highlight of our tour is Balea Lake, situated at an altitude of over 2,000 meters. Here, there is time to unwind, enjoy a meal, and take in the stunning panoramic views, including the renowned winding Top Gear Road.
On our return journey, we will pause at Capra Waterfall, an ideal spot to breathe in the refreshing mountain air.

- We will NOT visit the interior of Poenari Fortress, we will only see it from below - outside. To enter in Poenari Fortress you have to climb 66 floors on the stairs!
- We suggest you come 5 minutes early. Being a group tour, we can not wait for you after the mentioned time.
- Friendly Reminder: Please don’t bring coffee cups, open drinks, or snacks into the vehicle! No food, please! If the car smells like a picnic, we basically become a target for the brown bears. Let’s keep it bear-free and stress-free!
