It definitely didn't suck - The castles are breathtaking and so is the Transylvanian landscape, but what really made our tour was our guide's Petru's approach to the day. He was so knowledgeable but made everything fun with witty asides and anecdotes. Everything really came to life. Also, someone tell that man that he needs to set up a side gig as an audiobook narrator, he has the perfect voice for it!
It's a long but rewarding day on the road!

An hidden gem in the heart of Romenia - Bran is a lovely place to visit, eat & stay
Of course Dracula’s Castle is the main attraction, however the surroundings are so beautiful and enchanted that you feel the Christmas wives all year long
The Castle is well maintained and easy to visit, for the torture room there is a supplement of 20 lei to pay but it is worth it
The entire area is extremely well connected
I did not expect Romania to be such a clean, safe and welcoming country

Full day with a variety of sights - Our group of four enjoyed our trip. Seeing the mountains, streams, and villages was a great addition to our city sightseeing in Bucharest.. The trip was well organized, the guide was informative, and the driver was excellent..
Here are some suggestions to make the most of your day.
Be prepared for an extremely long day. We were gone 14 hours. The bus ride back is 3+ hours. They do include a bathroom stop.
Although the instructions say you need to have cash euros, our guide accepted euros, RON and even American dollars.
Avoid Sunday if you can because the traffic is much worse that day. Like us, you may have no other option.
We had no need to bring a lunch as stated. At the Braşov stop, we had time for a leisurely sit down lunch. Every other stop had places to buy light food from vendors.
The Peles Castle was the highlight for us. If you can’t do a whole day tour, I would suggest you do a half day tour with only this location..
The Bram castle is almost all steps. If that’s not for you don’t pay to enter. There’s a free park to walk and dozens of tourist vendors to occupy your time.
If you are unfamiliar with the area, do a test walk the day before. Don’t trust your GPS to take you to the exact spot.

Buckarest castles 🏰 - Fab day. Peles Castle was opulent and amazing. Bran castle much smaller and modest but both in stunning locations. Our tour guide Otina was so interesting and funny. She made the day flow smoothly.

Very nice tour and Mattia tour leader very good - Tour organized very well, tour leader Mattia very good! I recommend paying a supplement of € 10 per person for the guide even inside the castle, it is absolutely worth it.

It was good - You are asked to pay extra 10 euros for the guide. The tour is really affordable, dont mind paying this extra. It was good overall! The guide can be nice and skip the part saying that he don't care if we are late ans would just leave us there.

Confusing trip in terms of pricing and organisation but a great day out otherwise - The initial pre-paid cost of the trip was low - £48.51 for three of us. We were aware that 10 Euros per person cash (30 Euros for our party) had to be paid on board the coach which was described as being an "orientation fee in Brasov and Bran, the guided tour of Peles Castle and for the commentary on board." Not for the first time, the Trip Advisor description has been inaccurate and badly worded. Our guide said the fee was for extra costs that had to be paid in cash such as cleaning the coach which didn't match the written description of what the fee was for. What was not made clear if you paid the 30 Euros for the guided tour and orientation charges was that you couldn't actually have the tour unless you paid another 90 Euros for 3 entry tickets. But if you bought the castle admission tickets you wouldn't get the guided tour unless you paid the guide another 30 Euros.
In the end we paid 30 Euros compulsory cash charge on boarding the coach. Then 75 Euros for 2 adult tickets and 1 student rate ticket. Then Bran Castle fees were additional but for that part you could arrange your own ticket. It's cheaper to buy them yourself - the coach company charge approximately 5 Euros extra on each ticket.
What we objected to having paid 105 Euros, was that the fees were not applied consistently to everyone on board. The three adults next to us said they were cashless and the 30 Euros was waived. Yet they benefitted from the orientation walks in Brasov and Bran, and didn't contribute to coach cleaning etc. Then having proved with her university ID that our daughter was a student, the person next to us claimed they were a student to buy their tickets at the reduced rate. Later we heard her say she wasn't a student, was 36 years old and working!
Our criticism aside from the Trip Advisor misleading and inaccurate description is that the additional fees were not applied to everyone and it was completely unfair some paid and some didn't and were allowed to get away with it.
It did end up marring the day for sure and it could have been handled in a friendlier, less abrupt manner. However, our guide was very informative and had some funny stories to tell on the coach and at the destinations. The driver and guide worked such a long day - we were on the trip for 14 hours - with their extra journey times they must have been shattered! Peles Castle was lovely and we'd highly recommend going inside - the tour was worth the money and you learn a lot from the guide! Brasov was a lovely little place and we can highly recommend the Italian Roma! Had a lovely meal there and service was quick giving us time to have a wander around too. Bran Castle was also worth going inside - it's different to Peles. There are some narrow corridors so you walk yourself around the interior. The scenery on the journeys was really nice too through the mountains - so different to the city centre. We also had another couple of stops for toilet breaks. Glad we did this trip - enjoyed the day just feel the admin / poor Trip Advisor description and inconsistent enforcement of the pricing is unfair. Would highly recommend getting out of Bucharest for a day and seeing how different Romania is!

Have a nice day trip to beautiful castles and Brasov - Have a nice day trip, get up early! We had to be present at 7am instead of the passing time when booking (it said 730). You will visit two beautiful castles and a stop for lunch in the town of Brasov. Definitely worth staying here longer. You still have to pay the entrance of the castles to the tour leader, cost 60€ total.
Unfortunately we are not satisfied with the guide Adrian. At the first stop Peles castle he just left 4 people behind, because they did not get back to the bus in time. We really don't think that's okay, and then we were really done with him. He seemed disinterested, arrogant and self-righteous. Not a great tour guide.

No more castles - Expensive to buy castle tickets on bus. Get them when you get there. I will not be visiting anymore castles.

Castle bran and peles tour - It was a great big and modern bus and everything on schedule. The guide talked mostly on the bus but all in all not too much.
The castle peleš was closed and also under construction so that was sad. The castle bran was nothing for claustrophics. I managed 3 minutes and had to exit.. then the extra 10 euros per person after paying already were quite confusing. I guess that was the salary for the guide.
All in all okay trip to fill the day.
