Sighisoara - Proceed to the medieval citadel of Sighisoara, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Established by Saxons in the 12th century, Sighisoara remains one of Europe’s most stunning and still-inhabited fortified cities. It is also the birthplace of Vlad the Impaler, known as Dracula. Immerse yourself in the medieval atmosphere by visiting Sighisoara’s main attractions: The Clock Tower, built in 1360 and standing 60 meters tall atop the citadel’s hill, houses a museum and offers a splendid view over the citadel. The Torture Room, a small yet intriguing museum, is located at the base of the Clock Tower in the same room where prisoners were tortured and confessions were extracted during the Middle Ages. Poienari Castle - Embark on a morning drive to Poenari Fortress to visit the ruins of Vlad the Impaler’s stronghold in the mountains. Climb over 1400 stairs to reach the top, where the views are absolutely rewarding.

With many cherished memories and perhaps a touch of regret, bid farewell to Romania as the journey returns to Bucharest.
