Excellent insight into Beaulieu River wildlife - Fantastic 2 hours on the river with Marcus, Emily-Louise, and James. A must for all interested water birds & local history. Well organised, punctual, great hosts, very knowledgeable. Would recommend and look forward to doing it again and taking our bird watching friends. Thank you. Rosalind & Garry Stride

Extended Beaulieu River Boat Trip - We started our trip from Bucklers Hard. We had good weather with no wind. Marcus pointed out all the wildlife and was a mine information. We saw Seals, plenty of wildfowl including Widgeon, Teal, Egrets and Cormorants. The highlight of the trip was a guest appearance of a Sea Eagle. We stopped off for Bacon sandwiched and Coffee. A memorable trip.

Excellent value for money. Time well spent. - Efficient, well planned trip. Pick up was punctual as were directions to the meeting point. Marcus and Emily were the perfect pair, one hosted the ten adults and three dogs aboard. Marcus had an extensive knowledge of the wildlife in the area, especially birds, and was happy to explain the bird behaviors. Historical sites were also pointed out but no explanations were labored or too technical.
The weather was perfect and I know everybody, including the dogs had a great time.
Would thoroughly recommend this trip.

Relaxing afternoon on the Beaulieu river trip - We had a relaxing and informative trip with Russell and Jamie on the Beaulieu river trip. The boat captain was very friendly too. We saw seals and many species of birds. It was just a very pleasant and relaxing afternoon taking in all the sights along the river. The weather was very kind to us too.

Outstanding - The tour was scenic and relaxing, and we saw a lot of birdlife—33 different species. Bring binoculars. After the small-group boat tour, we did a private New Forest walking tour for just the two of us, with easy trails, wonderful views, outstanding sightings of birds and of the New Forest's freely roaming ponies, and great information/interpretation by excellent guide Marcus, who is extremely involved in conservation. Our New Forest experiences were a highlight of our trip to the Southampton area. Highly recommend.

Excellent tour - This was a lovely trip on a beautiful sunny day. The size of the group was perfect. Geoff the skipper/boat owner was very friendly and makes a very welcome cuppa. Marcus as always is unflappable, omniscient re all things New Forest, be it on land or water, and is always delightful to be with. Even though we didn't see 'flocks' of eagles it was still a very enjoyable way to discover the Beaulieu River under such expert tutelage. See you on future tours.

Brilliant time had on the Beaulieu River! - We enjoyed our trip out on “Lazy Daze” yesterday (24/10/24) and could not have been lucky with the weather - sunny and warm! There were 5 couples in total, with Marcus and Emily the organisers, who were absolutely lovely. Marcus certainly knows his subject - really knowledgeable about every species of bird spotted. Also give interesting historical facts as we passed different landmarks. Sadly we didn’t see any seals - they were obviously out “fishing” but it didn’t spoil what was a really good trip. We were well looked after with a cuppa and slice of delicious homemade cake made by Emily’s daughter. This trip really was the highlight of our stay in the New Forest and would highly recommend to anyone - so calming being on the water.

Bird watchers paradise - My husband and I were the only ones without binoculars. I didn’t realise that the trip would be so heavily concentrated on bird life and that the river would be so wide that without binoculars we wouldn’t be able to see much. That said, it was a lovely trip and we enjoyed the knowledge given to us. Highlight was the mum and new baby seal…..so precious. We had tea and biscuits which was nice. We had about two hours and 10 minutes on the water and saw a lot in that time.
I think I was expecting a much narrower river with closer views of the riverside and not the large open spaces with heaps of boats that we actually saw. Still, it was a good trip and well worth the money. Maybe think about renaming it as a bird watchers trip?
