Sightseeing - Easy to purchase tickets online. Clear stops- we did the red route as stop 19 was close to our hotel. Saw all the sights. Got off at multiple stops. Commentary was clear in Enhlish. Helpful staff.

Excellent value for money - We did a hop on off bus tour of Budapest which included a cruise on the river . Very easy to navigate. The tour took us to all places of interest and the wait for a bus on / off was no more than 15 minutes . We did the tour at our own pace and then went on to the river cruise which was very enjoyable. This tour is excellent for people who have limited time but don’t want to miss any of the places if interest .

Good overview of Budapest attractions - I wanted to get an overview of where attractions were situated with each other so bought a 48 hour ticket. Disappointment was that I was told the Green Line route was no longer run yet it is still mentioned on printed and online information. The boat trip was okay but it's a choice between a view or commentary which is only available inside. Free walking tour is not really free as we were expected to tip guide. The saving grace was that our guide Claudia was good.

Do not recommend - I always take a bus tour when I visit a new city, but I was left feeling so disappointed in this one for various reasons. The first being I cannot for the life of me fathom why people are allowed to sit on the bus without headphones and just sit and talk over the commentary - just be quiet and stop ruining it for others! But most importantly, it made no sense to me at all that we had to change buses. I had a 48 hour ticket and this happened on both days. It made NO sense, when we were settled and comfortable. Not only that, we were put off a relatively modern and clean and comfortable bus, on to something dirty and really outdated. There was actually a drain hole where I was sitting filled with fluff - I had to move it was so offputting. For some unknown reason, even though the weather was relatively warm, the driver and tour guide wouldn't put the top down meaning we missed a lot of the architecture and tops of buildings, particularly the Parisian Cafe which is apparently the most beautiful cafe in the world. I wouldn't know because we were packed like sardines and couldn't look up to see it. The second bus had like a plastic sheet over the windows, meaning it was very very blurry and hard to see anything. I see no reason at all why the tops can't come down - it was at least 14 degrees. I've been in Paris with the top down and Belfast with much much colder weather. Added to this on the second bus with the top down, it was impossible for anyone over 5 feet tall to stand up properly and when I raised this with the tour guide, she just shrugged her shoulders. It was absolutely ridiculous - couldn't see and couldn't stand up straight! Much of the commentary didn't fit with the timing of the tour either - it was still talking about the Parisian Cafe long after we were already approaching Margaret Island. Overall I didn't feel the tour guides cared very much about the people on their buses and that any concerns raised were just too bad. Basic manners and care for people's safety and enjoyment wouldn't go amiss!! Much improvement and staff training needed!

Not the best tour! - This is like no other City Sightseeing bus I’ve used. We always do a bus tour in a new city as it’s a great way to learn about the place. We were glad to get a seat on the upper deck. The crew on the bus didn’t check tickets nor ensure people took headphones - lots of people didn’t know where to get them from. The English commentary is hard to understand so I’m non the wiser about what we saw. Then all of a sudden we were told we needed to get off and change to another bus. I’ve never had to do that before. The next bus we got on had such a low roof that you had to bend double to walk to your seat. Very odd and uncomfortable. The price included a boat trip. We wanted to go on the upper deck as the windows downstairs were so steamed up you could hardly see out of them. But there was no commentary on the deck, so that was pointless. It was lovely and warm in the saloon area and the commentary was good. It’s only in English. So it was all a bit of an odd experience compared to the usual bus tours, but at least we saw a lot of stuff!

Scam - We wanted to take a short cruise on the Danube and were interested in this company that I knew from other trips, especially to the United States. The cruise has an advertised duration of 1h00 for a price of 15 euros. The seller had the honesty to tell us that we had to come in advance because the seats were not all guaranteed... On time we were in the first line and were able to enjoy seats on the upper deck with a magnificent view of Budapest. No reviews or audio guides were offered, which is very strange for a cruise and not announced at the time of booking. In addition, the walk lasted only 43 minutes instead of the full hour announced.

Ticket outlets give false info. (Scam authorized by the company). Endless lines in the cold - The ticket seller has specified several times that the tickets were inclusive of the ride on the boat even in the evening at no additional cost....instead of boarding they asked for further payment... It sounds like a scam authorized ** by the company ** also because the tickets are traceable, I asked to report happened.... but my report, and 'was not taken into account... also operator said it happens often....!!!!! Without considering the Rows of more than 1 hour to evening boarding

Worst Hop on / Hop off I’ve ever experienced - I purchased a 24 hours hop on hop off ticket today at 3.30pm All well knowing that the I only had an hour and half. We were advised by the guy we purchased tickets from (Fashion Street) the nearest bus stop was at the bus terminal. We then walked to the bus terminal and there we were advised, by the store front office, the nearest stop was at the Basilica. We then walked to the Basilica and told by the pop up ticket booth that we had to head to stop 2. The chain bridge. After walking to the chain bridge . The pop up booth told us we just missed the bus and that would be the last one for today as it was 4.35pm. We spent just over an hour and did not get on a bus due to the staff inconsistency or lack of care. This whole bus tour now seems a scam or rip off tourists. I should have trusted the reviews online which said these exact things. I now have spent $60 Australian dollars on a piece of paper. Don’t do these bus tours!

Ticket sellers are scamming by overcharging credit cards. - The ticket seller at The Opera charged my credit card 10 times the proper amount. They work on tips. The more they charge, the more they make. It took two hours and me threatening to call the police before my money was refunded. Beware!
