10/10 recommend this tour! - Wonderful experience! Esther was a fantastic guide who guided us through the history of Hungary and the wonderful food that is apart of their culture. My family enjoyed the knowledge of our guide and the opportunity to try many different types of food. Esther even gave us some suggestions for other places to try for the remainder of our trip. Definitely recommend this tour!

An engaging walk through the history, food and wine of Hungary. - This was the morning part of the two tours we took with Taste Hungary. Our personal guide, Aniko, was friendly, engaging and informative. She shared culinary history, along with Hungarian history in a way that put the country in context beyond the Communist years. The foods were excellent, as were the wines. Since Hungarian wines are not readily available in our area (Hungarians stated they are selfish with their wines and want them all to themselves) we enjoyed the choices and know we can purchase them through the Taste Hungary distribution center in the USA. We would highly recommend this tour.

Food tour with wine tasting - We had a great time on our 4 hour culinary and wine walk. It was fun to go to the market and to try some of the local food and drink. Lilas (sp?) was a very good tour guide, we enjoyed her sense of humour and hearing all about life in Budapest. She speaks 4 languages and is interesting and well travelled. It was nice way to spent the morning. It was an easy walk, we visited a variety of places and had lots of food. We also really enjoyed the wine tasting in the wine cellar.

So fun! Thanks again! - We loved this food tour. Andy was knowledgeable, informative and charming. We knew to come with and empty stomach and did not regret it. The range of things we tried as well as the lovely walking portion was just what we were looking for.

Great food and wine experience in Budapest - Great way to spend a morning in Budapest getting to grips with the local delicacies and hearing all about life in Budapest. The tastings were plentiful and varied and we were certainly not left wanting more at any point. We spent the first hour or so in the novel;y central market hall and then visited a butchers shop for lunch, a cafe for cakes, a bar for a quick digestive before ending with a wine tasting in a super cellar. All in all a great tour which we couldn't fault. Definitely recommend.

Best Tour in Budapest - 2nd time on this tour. Did this 11 years ago with daughter and now brought my sister to Budapest so this tour was a must. Not only do you taste local foods but you learn their history too. Starting in the Central Market you taste various delicacies from stall holders and try new and different foods. Then we walk through town to old style butchers shop for lunch. 3 types of sausage, duck, cabbage, cucumber pickle and potato with paprika. All yummy and this is my favourite place and not somewhere you would find without our trusty guide. Then for some Unicom followed by cakes and tea or coffee at the Astoria. All the history behind these places was very informative and fascinating. Last but not least wine tasting, again the knowledge of their wines was incredible but Hungarian wine is a well kept secret. Can compete with any French wine. Great tour guide Elsa if I right answered all our questions and very knowledgeable plus gave us suggestions of places and restaurants to visit. I recommend this tour to all

The highlight of our whole stay in Budapest! - This was over 4 hours so well spent. The food was delicious and eclectic. From Langos to sausage to cakes and of course the drinks, everything was great. Our guide was absolutely brilliant! She was knowledgable and fun, the whole thing just flew by. If you do one thing in Budapest, do this.

Not reliable - At first they asked me to change the date of the tour. Then they asked me to change the tour type. And in between, no answers to my emails. Not reliable.
