Good experience. - I had a great time in this trip. It is a great way to see two more cities in Europe with limited time. I enjoyed Budapest and Bratislava. I wish we had more time to explore Bratislava. Overall, I recommend it. Small group with a knowledgeable guide.

One of a kind tour - A fantastic tour! Our guide, Simeon, was friendly and took the time to provide us information on all the places we visited in addition to taking us to each place. A truly unique experience to visit three capitals in one day.

Great experience!! - It was a wonderful wonderful day. Paul was great!! He asked what kind of things we wanted to know and gave us all his thoughtful perspectives of all that Budapest and Bratislava is. I would highly recommend this tour - it was a super way to see Hungary and Slovakia and not have to worry about a thing.

Fascinating to see 3 Capital Cities in one day! - Absolutely brilliant! Although it was a long tour day, it was incredibly interesting and worthwhile. Simeon is a wonderful guide! He is articulate, passionate, and provided lots of information. The tour also provided enough free time for us to explore a bit on our own and try some of the food in each city. I’m so glad we booked this tour during our stay in Bienna and would highly recommend it!

Good, but could have been better. - The description of the tour doesn’t give an accurate sense of what to expect. It started with three hours of driving with a short stop for coffee after the first hour. Once we arrived in Budapest our guide, Simeon (Sam) took us on a walk of Liberty Square, a viewing of the parliament buildings, brief stop at a Holocaust monument by the Danube, and some insight into Hungary’s complicated past. We were then given two hours for lunch and to explore on our own, which was ample time. We then travelled to the other side of the Danube for a view from the other side, where we spent about 30 minutes before heading off to Bratislava. Ninety minutes later we arrived in Bratislava, our guide’s hometown. He took us to see the view from in front of the Slovakian parliament buildings. We then proceeded into the old part of town, where we left on our own to explore for an hour, which ran to 90 minutes because Sam was late picking us up. Unfortunately our guide wasn’t the most eloquent or articulate of speakers. I cannot blame language, because Sam spoke English well. Although Sam wanted us to understand the differences among three capitals within a few hours of each other, he failed to provide sufficient detail or examples to make his points clearly. Compared to other tours we’ve been on in Europe, this one came cross as amateurish. Traffic was bad entering both Budapest and Bratislava. This added to the driving time, by the end of which we were stiff and tired. The weather was grey and cold, so everyone was chilled waiting for Sam to get pick us up in Bratislava. We didn’t get back to our hotel until 9 pm. It would have been nice if our guide had used the first stop as an opportunity for a bit of an ice-breaker. With only 8 participants, simple introductions, e.g., name, country, would have been appreciated. Despite the foregoing, we really appreciated the time in Budapest. There is a lot to see, not to mention some wonderful cafes in the old part of town. As for Bratislava, it’s difficult to say because it was already dark, making it difficult to see much. This was an OK tour, but probably could have been a lot better with a more professional tour guide.
