Highlight at the Highest point of Budapest! - My hike with Laszlo from Trails of Budapest was so much more than what I expected. He is so knowledgeable about the flora and fauna of Budapest and pointed out a slow worm that isn’t a worm at all, wild mushrooms, death watch beetle trails and so much more. When he pointed out where we would hike to I wondered if I’d manage but he was so encouraging and before I knew it I was at the highest point in Budapest! I have to say, it was the highlight of my trip!

Do not miss! - The hike with Laszlo was the highlight of my time in Budapest! It was very special to escape the city and see the beautiful surrounding area that a visitor may not normally get to see while learning about the history of the city, the local flora and fauna along with the challenges faced and conservation efforts needed to keep this beauty for future generations. Laszlo clearly loves his job, and is full of stories and chat for the walk! I could not recommend joining him on a hike more! 10/10 recommend.

Fantastic experience and views - An amazing hike with Laszlo and such a nice way to experience the country, and city from afar. One of our favourite experiences whilst staying in Budapest and definitely not one to miss. For us it was also nice to escape the city for a few hours.

Wonderful hike in hills around Budapest - Was a great day out, with plenty of areas covered. Paths and trails all very easy and nothing too rough. Pretty hot day, but the shade of most of the paths helped, and got some great shots of Budapest from a distance.

informative...spectacular...different - This was an amazing and memorable experience! Laszio's knowledge was only matched by his ability to convey it to us...and the wealth of information was so well suited to the exquisite terrain and scenery around us. If you're in Budapest or planning a trip there, do yourself a favour and step outside the usual, touristy highlights (although they are worth seeing too) to see another side of Budapest that too few tourists would know. Laszio combines history with information about nature, all while surrounded with spectacular beauty. Highly recommended!

A great hike - A hike with Laszlo was an excellent experience. Laszlo is very passionate about what he does and it's great to see. It was very nice to get out from the busy Budapest center and explore the Buda Hills area which is way less touristy but very beautiful, pieceful with breathtaking views. You don't have to be an experience hiker or in top condition to enjoy it and I recommend it very much and would definitely do it again when I'm in town.

Amazing Hike with Family - We had an awesome experience on our hike with Laszlo, our guide from Trails of Budapest! I found the hike on Viator and scoured the reviews to make sure it was a good fit for me, my husband and kids (18 and 15). It was perfect! The hike is capped at 10 hikers but we lucked out and it ended up just being our family of 4. Laszlo was great a communicating right when I booked and a day or so before the hike. We were staying on the Pest side of the Danube and took a taxi to the meeting point on the Buda side. We could have taken a bus or train but we didn't feel like figuring out the transit system! Either way Laszlo met us exactly where he said he would (even a few min early)! He had our bus tickets already and we headed off. Quick 20 min bus ride let is out right by the entrance of the park. He was great about taking any pace we wanted and stopping for photos, sharing an explanation of a bit of the history in certain places as well as the wildlife. AMAZING views from the top of Elizabeth lookout. Definitely do this hike with Trails of Budapest! You will not be disappointed! It was wonderful to get out of the city for a few hours! Enjoy!!

Just do it!!!! - This hike was FABULOUS! I can't sing Laszlo's praises enough but I'll try! His communication before, during and after the hike was fantastic. We hiked to some beautiful places (outside of Budapest) and it was nice being out of the city for a bit away from all the tourists! We had a small group which was perfect and very manageable and we all seemed to go at the same pace. We lucked out with the weather but honestly, I would have hiked in the rain if I had to so that I wouldn't miss this adventure. Do yourself a favor and sign up for this - you won't be disappointed.
