• Andrassy Avenue - Walking tour: Andrássy Avenue is a historic boulevard in Budapest, Hungary, established in 1872. It connects Erzsébet Square with Városliget. The avenue is lined with stunning Neo-renaissance mansions and townhouses with exquisite facades and interiors, earning it World Heritage Site status in 2002. It is also a major shopping street in Budapest, featuring elegant cafes, restaurants, theatres, embassies, and luxury boutiques. Notable buildings include the State Opera House, the Zoltán Kodály Memorial Museum and Archives, the Hungarian University of Fine Arts, and the Ferenc Hopp Museum of East Asian Arts.
• Hungarian State Opera House (Magyar Allami Operahaz) - The opening scene of “Red Sparrow” was filmed at the magnificent Hungarian State Opera House in Budapest. Located on the UNESCO World Heritage site Andrássy Avenue, the opera house opened to the public on September 27, 1884. Visitors can take a guided tour inside and relive scenes from the movie.
• New York Café - Lunch: Dominika’s meeting with the Russian gangster Dimitry was filmed at The New York Café, part of the vintage Boscolo complex. Enjoy the luxurious cafe and restaurant, take selfies at the movie locations, and try the house’s special offer, the New York snack selection (NY Burger, NY chocolate cake, NY lemonade).
