In 16th century Budapest, a young man dressed in a turban and harem pants appears before you. He is a time traveler whose memory has been erased by his journey. He recalls serving a mysterious master but cannot remember his own identity. You decide to assist him in reconstructing his identity using clues scattered throughout the city.
This self-guided city game utilizes the Questo app to guide you through 14 chapters spanning 5.25 km of Budapest. Begin at the Buda Castle walls, proceed at your own pace, and accompany an Ottoman time traveler from the castle to the river and Rose Hill. There is no guide or fixed schedule—just you and a mystery to solve.
Your adventure will lead you through the Castle District’s Turkish cemetery, the Labyrinth beneath the castle, Budapest’s oldest café (established in 1698), the remnants of a medieval church, the Pasha’s tomb, the Király Baths, and the mausoleum of the Islamic saint Gül Baba on Rose Hill.
