Fantastic Experience - This was an absolutely fantastic experience. Our guide, Jackson, was an incredibly caring and genuinely engaged host. In addition to being a great bike and kayak guide, Jackson tailored our entire experience to our interests and language (American English) preferences, shared valuable insights about local customs and culture, and answered our many, many questions very thoughtfully. We had an amazing day. If you are looking for a delightful, active day trip focused on seeing the outskirts of Buenos Aires and experiencing the Tigre delta region, you must book this tour — and be sure to ask for Jackson as your guide, you won’t regret it!

From “Dodgy” Jokes to Delta Magic — A Day We’ll Never Forget - We spent 9–5 with Raymond and can say without hesitation: this wasn’t a tour — it was a proper day out with someone who genuinely loves what he does. The ride from Buenos Aires to Tigre could have been just a transfer. Instead, Raymond turned the 32 km stretch into a rolling masterclass in neighbourhoods we would never have discovered on our own — elegant residential pockets, striking architecture, quiet, wealthy enclaves tucked between the city and the delta. The kind of places that don’t show up in the “Top 10” lists but absolutely should. Raymond himself? Endearing, sharp, and very funny. By mid-morning we had our own running jokes (“that’s what she said” may have made multiple appearances), and he gamely leaned into Kiwi slang — tossing around “dodgy” and “cheeky” like a pro. The banter made the whole day feel effortless. Tigre was the perfect contrast to the city. We kayaked through the delta for about an hour, which felt peaceful and almost surreal — quiet water, leafy channels, and the rhythm of boat taxis moving through the area. We met a lovely local family who run those boats (and yes, we absolutely made friends with their adorable dog). It felt authentic and unpolished in the best possible way. Lunch was an asado experience that delivered everything you hope Argentina will deliver — relaxed, abundant, delicious. No rushing, no conveyor belt vibe. Just great food and time to enjoy it - we got lost in conversation. Raymond’s layers are what make him special. A former hairdresser of 25 years who moved to Buenos Aires to pursue acting — and has two films with Harvey Keitel under his belt — he brings storytelling, timing, and personality to the day. He’s proud of his path, and he should be. It shows in how he connects with people. He also sent us to an excellent gelato spot at the end — the kind of recommendation that only comes from someone who truly knows the area. We covered a lot of ground, but it never felt rushed. It felt curated. Personal. Thoughtful. If you’re looking for someone who goes beyond surface-level sightseeing and gives you a day full of insight, humour, and genuine connection — Raymond is your guy. Cheeky, charming, and absolutely not dodgy. Highly recommend.

Cycling to Tigre with outstanding guide Raymond! - Our cycling adventure started early as we’re leaving BA later today. Raymond was very generous and accommodating our request to leave early to ensure we won’t miss our flight back home. Raymond is very knowledgeable and has a lot of quirky stories which bring this wonderful city alive to visitors. Choosing cycling to explore this amazing city is just perfect! Would highly recommended Biking Buenos Aires and in particular Raymond. Raymond made sure our bikes were in order and we’ve had ample time to cycle all the way to Tigre where we had a very chilled time enjoying in a scrumptious Asado. We’ve had a perfect day to our end of this amazing holiday- thank you Raymond- hopefully see ya down under ☺️🫶🥝

Fantastic way to spend a day! - Spent the day with Jackson - our awesome tour guide - and rode from Buenos Aires to Tigre (about 42 km). Fantastic way to see some of BA that you wouldn’t otherwise get to and also explore the surrounding area. Had a lovely lunch in Tigre followed by 3 kms of kayaking. Super fantastic day - highly recommend!

Great way to see the city and Tigre - What a tremendous way to see Buenos Aires! On a sparkling summers day we rode north through the parks to Tigres , stopping for a coffee at Havana en route. Raymond was a terrific guide. Beyond being a movie actor ( seriously) he is an accomplished cyclist and Kayaker , and has outstanding knowledge of the city and its landmarks. The lunch venue was Tigre lunch “club” , with a large private beach and amazing food cooked over charcoal. Allow at least 9 hours for the round trip - we even came back from Tigre by train

A different side to Buenos Aires - What an excellent way to see the Buenos Aires that you won't get to see from a tour bus. We opted to cycle the whole route and our guide, Jackson led us through the city streets and avenues to the peace of the park at Vicente Lopez where we took a break to learn the ins and outs of mate and how not to let oneself down in polite company. Carrying on to Tigre, we took a small water taxi to pick up our canoes and then paddled off to lunch, which was lovely. Jackson is great company. After lunch we took a quiet route back to the canoe hire, avoiding the wake of some of the larger boats on the delta. A quick helado stop (very nice) and then the train back to Retiro and a short ride back to the start. Thank you Jackson for an unforgettable day. May your bomilla never block.

Arrived to find we had no reservation - We showed up for our tour only to find they didn’t have it on the schedule even though it had been confirmed via VIATOR. The biking company was apologetic and suggested and abridged version of this tour, which we accepted. They asked us to wait an hour for the guide to arrive. We said yes, and an hour later were told the guide would not be able to take us today. While they were very nice and our money was fully refunded, we ultimately wasted one or two of our days in Buenos Aires.
