Joseph - So fun! I highly recommend this experience. I was traveling solo and there were six of us in the class. We made the empanadas and alfajores from scratch, learning about the history of each while drinking wine and mate. Everything was delicious!

Best time making empanadas - We had the best time learning to make empanadas. They were patient and explained in detail. Also sent us a lot of other information. Loved the atmosphere and the host. At first we were confused we were at the wrong building, so don’t be alarmed if you think you’re at the wrong spot because you’re not. Just have to knock on the door at your time slot.

An interesting afternoon spent making Empanadas and Alfajores with dulce leche filling with an optional $12 Malbec wine to wash - A great way to spend an afternoon in a residential home. They ladies were very helpful getting the Uber to get back to our hotel.

Anger Issues / Disrespect for other cultures - An Unfortunate experience. I was treated inferiorly right from the moment when I asked them if that wet damp napkin in their washroom next to their toilet pot was clean as we were to make Empanadas - She yapped at me, asked me to respect the place, the couple gives off a very bad vibe, not sure if its because I am a person of colour of what, but my question to them about the napkin was valid, I don’t like to use a damp napkin, period. The Empanadas lacked taste, which is no biggie, but the attitude of this couple was very unreasonable, i finished the class and left as soon as possible with a smile, so as not to burn bridges. My question was polite and she soon had a frantic look on her face, telling me to respect her place and insulting me infront of the other 3 white girls, it was a very awkward moment. I would AVOIDA AT ALL possible costs. I wish them a great future ahead but It made me very uncomfortable. She could have simply replaced that crappy napkin that they probably use, the threads were hanging loose, the place was clean, cluttered, but I understand its their home, but there are better homes and people to learn from, this couple has anger issues, made me very uneasy. I have a clinical background so I expect a napkin to be clean, its a basic common sense. I dont mean any offence. I tried blending in, trying to tell them that in my culture too we make sweet empanadas with coconut and jaggery stuffing, the coulle discarded me like I was trash - avoid this place if you have respect for yourself. Sorry. Mayur

Expectations can change - Very friendly hosts, I did think I would do more if the cooking, rather than the hosts using the cook top and oven. Enjoyed the experience but also be aware it is closer to a two hour experience than a three hour one
