• Puente de la Mujer - The Woman’s Bridge, one of the emblems of the Puerto Madero neighborhood, is the first work in Latin America by renowned Spanish architect Santiago Calatrava and represents yet another example of the City’s ongoing quest to position itself at the forefront of art and architecture throughout the region. It is a rotating pedestrian bridge with one of the largest turning mechanisms in the world, designed to allow the passage of sailing boats that navigate the docks of Puerto Madero. The work, made in Spain and donated to the City by an individual, depicts the image of a couple dancing tango, where the white mast symbolizes the man and the curved silhouette of the bridge is the woman.
