Gifted to the City of Buenos Aires by its creator, Argentine architect Eduardo Catalano, it is crafted from stainless steel and aluminum, weighing 18 tons. It was the first sculpture with movement controlled by a hydraulic system and photoelectric cells.

Located 200 meters to the left of the cemetery’s main entrance, the tombs belong to the Duarte family. Eva Perón’s remains are interred five meters underground in the second basement.
María Eva Duarte de Perón’s remains were brought to this location in the 1970s after being repatriated from Spain.
