Last Tango in Buenos Aires - Amazing lunchtime experience for those who can't stay up late for the evening show! The musicians and dancers were all top class. There was also a skilled group who gave a gaucho dance with boleadoras.

The band was excellent as... - The band was excellent as I've noticed in every tango show in Buenos Aires. The arrangements for music were interesting and nice stage decoration, costumes and choreographies. I was waiting for a woman singer as well. The staff was very helpful and a good idea to take the whole staff to the front in the end of the show - that made a great effect!

Fun show - Fun show, conveniently located across the street from our hotel in BA so we could just walk instead of relying on transportation. We opted not to partake in the dinner, but ordered some drinks. I think it's ultimately easy to get great food in BA at a better price. Recommend showing ups a bit earlier as that seemed to ensure better seats for us compared to people who arrived later.

A great, easily accessed tango show - Great show, lots of tango styles represented and decently priced. The venue was also very nice, art deco style with a great vibe.

The location is good -... - The location is good - just 2 mins walk to the Oblisco. It's just walking distance if live in the theatre district. The performance was good and staff are very friendly - they proactively speak English when they realize the customer are likely not Spanish speaker. In addition to the compelling dance performance, the band was also very good and made the performance into next level.

It’s a show…but it’s not passionate Tango - This is tough, because I am a musician/artist and want to be kind, but want to leave an honest assessment. First of all, it’s a theatrical show, so if you want authentic and passionate Tango, this is NOT it. We chose to see just the show, in which case they sit you high up in the rafters, out of sight of the dinner show, where you have a very obstructed view with three rows of moveable wood chairs with a glass wall and metal bar that you can look through to “sorta” see the performance. You have to pull your chair up to the edge and lean over to be able to truly see the performance. Even worse, the speakers are blasting straight at you at dangerous levels, clocking in at 117 dB, far exceeding hearing loss levels. Thankfully I had brought ear protection. The live musicians were phenomenal and so charismatic. My humble opinion is they made the show. The dancers “went through the motion” of their choreography, but it was not at all “passionate”. Show starts with a staged scene as if it’s laundry day on the streets of Buenas Aires and just a tad cheesy. Then the curtain closes and you get a man singing a mournful tune for costume changes. Another dance. Curtain closes and just the band performing. New set and some dancing. Curtain closes and another mournful song…and so goes the show. There is a bit of the Gaucho style included which added some flair. Everyone I noticed in the rafters grew impatient trying so hard to see over the edge or just leaning back and trying to watch the 1/4 of the stage available to see through the glass barrier in defeat. Also, be aware that you CAN NOT buy a drink to watch this show if you are just attending the performance. There was a beautiful bar on the first floor…but it’s only for those who are attending the dinner show. They don’t allow you to buy a drink and carry it upstairs. Bizarre, as this would be a nice treat and chance for them to make more money, especially after putting people in obstructed seating. Only by chance, we had been to the La Boca neighborhood earlier in the day and saw live Tango in front of several restaurants, and that was far more magical and intimate. After the show I noticed multiple tour buses picking up the patrons, so it’s definitely a show for tourists. Please know, I do think everyone performing was lovely, but they are hindered from the true passion of the dance of Tango due to it being a staged show.

Not recommended - Mass tourism, few dance performances, but diverse folklore, music and singing, poor sound quality , just not
