Chashma - Begin your journey at 9 AM, traveling from Bukhara to Sayyod Yurt Camp. En route, make stops in Nurata city and at Lake Aydarkul. Upon reaching Nurata, explore the remnants of Alexander the Great’s fortress, a sacred spring, and a medieval mosque. Enjoy lunch with a local family before proceeding to Lake Aydarkul.
Aydar Lake - The drive from Nurata to Lake Aydarkul is approximately 40 minutes. Lake Aydarkul is the largest saltwater lake in the nation. Depending on the weather, you can swim or stroll along the shores, observing the birds. Continue your journey to Sayyod Yurt Camp, which is a 2-hour drive away.
Sayyod Yurt Camp
Sayyod - After breakfast, embark on a medium to challenging hike to the mountain plateau (7 hours/15 km). This trek provides breathtaking views of Lake Aydarkul, the Nuratau Mountains, and nearby villages from the plateau’s summit. A picnic will be provided during the hike. Before returning to the camp, visit the village of Sayyod to learn about the local community and their way of life. Upon returning to the yurt camp, you can cool off in the outdoor swimming pool, weather permitting. During your stay, you may also rent a horse or mountain bike to explore the mountains.
Sayyod - Yurt Camp - Samarkand
Sayyod - In the morning, enjoy a 3-hour/6 km easy guided hike through the mountains. Return to the camp for lunch. Afterward, depart for Samarkand, with this leg of the journey taking approximately 3 hours.
